Happy birthday, Suite One ~ Potts Point.
Six years old this Easter.
It feels like a moment ago and a lifetime all at once.
In February 2020, I took over the lease of a dark, deep-blue art deco space ~ a little commercial space holding more history than light. I left it in the hands of painters and went to stay with family, while it was softened, brightened & reborn, on the second coat of white the painters left in covid lockdown hysteria & eventually by Easter I moved back in.
It was a recovery project for me after a few major challenges & return to safety in photography, video, playing dress-ups, styling… and the deep joy of supporting others in bringing their visions & brands to life.
I moved in on Good Friday, rain pouring, the streets empty, carrying boxes and hope, alone but not lonely, just standing at the edge of something unknown with little Jim Dog, soon to become a passionate studio dog, both of us wondering how this little business-that-could would find its feet in a world that had suddenly stood still.
Over the years life has gathered here in many forms,
laughter spilling from long tables, ideas taking shape, brands being born, images captured, stories shared.
Each moment settles gently into the bones of the space, leaving a trace & a memory.
We adorn, we strip back, we begin again
forever reshaping

The end of winter & beginning of spring is my favourite time of year in PP 🌸 Loading the place full of flowers from the markets or @grandiflora_sydney just across the street brings so much joy to us and the creative endeavours that book with us ~ We welcomed a really special new customer @unreal_fur & next we will decorate with foraged Jasmine.

My first make up job in my very early 20’s was running a studio as well. Flowers of the season always set the energy for the week - a tradition I have kept & cherish. Now with the new gen running the studio, it makes me so happy to see them 🌷blooming.
