Back to nature, to nurture, to give birth, to bring life. She is Sita in her patience, resilience, and capacity to sustain.

Birth is violent. It is messy, uncontrolled. Like a lotus rising in murky water, creation is beyond cleanliness and order. And in the act of birthing, even Sitā transforms into Kāli, fierce, instinctive, and powerful.
Birth is the highest taking of energy. A threshold once crossed, never undone. A woman transformed,
rising beyond herself.

Pregnancy, birth, motherhood is often seen through a rose-tinted lens. We dissolve and melt into each moment, and amidst the storms, we rise with hope. And so the cycle continues.
This story is of the larger truth of pregnancy, birth and a woman’s rebirth. It is an ode to my mother, who held me within her, and who holds me still, as I continue the cycle.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture and India Habitat Centre, the annual two-day festival “Sare Jahan Se Achha”, curated by renowned Odissi exponent Ranjana Gauhar, unfolded beautifully at the Stein Auditorium. The energy, the audience, and the spirit of tradition made it a truly memorable experience.
For us, this performance holds a very special place in our hearts. As disciples of our beloved Guru @drsandhyapurecha , every moment on stage feels like an offering — a continuation of the rich lineage and values she has nurtured in us.
We are immensely proud to be students of Bharata College of Fine Arts and Culture, where tradition is not just taught but lived. It is here that we learn to celebrate, preserve, and thrive in the beauty of Indian culture and classical arts.
Grateful to have been part of this heartfelt celebration of “Sare Jahan Se Achha” — where dance, devotion, and heritage came together so meaningfully. ❤️
