Let’s do a little lesson here— fresh flower edition! When adding fresh florals, my preference is always to add to your existing floral order (whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or other occasion where flowers will be present in the room) so that everything matches in color and variety. When that’s not an option, it’s something I’ll need to source. The more variety or color, the higher the price tag. Just to buy the flowers for this cake (garden roses x 2 types, spray roses, tulips, ranunculus, lisianthus, orchids) was over $80. 😳 (oh, and that acrylic cake board? $30) Just waiting for the next one! 💕🍰🌹

Taking a look back at this 14” olive oil lemon cake from a gorgeous October 2025 wedding reception with @rob_gentile and his team. Mascarpone frosting and fresh Black Mission figs from @j.g.berries (almost a full flat!) are all it needed for an unforgettable end to a delicious meal! 🍰
