we are thrilled to announce our last event for 2025:
a collaboration years in the making
subvert x inside out present
LENA WILLIKENS
endlessly versatile and genreless, no two of Lena Willikens' dj sets are the same. A masterful selector with decades of experience digging, listening and playing for dancefloors and listeners around the world, with 2x regular NTS shows and appearances dating back to 2015. Do not miss this!
"The naturally rare conviction in execution of her art is akin to an improvising musician, painter, or skilled raconteur in the most classic DJ sense. Layering extended lines of polyrhythmic thought that can only be properly understood in-the-flow – by bodies in motion – Lena places a lifetime immersed in the club, on all sides of booth, bar and dancefloor, in an effortless form of chronics edging on aerobic mysticism."
And, as a little treat, we will have the wonderful Inside Out providing a venue-wide audio treatment for your aural pleasure.
Tickets are on sale now and capacity will be limited! An intimate night for rare selection and dancefloor experiences before we close out the year.

We are thrilled to announce that Wata Igarashi will be joining us for a very special event on Sat 22 November at Ancient World
Arpeggiated synths, colourful crystalline textures and four-to-the-floor intensity all combine in his unique and deeply psychedelic music. There's simply nothing else quite like it. Wata Igarashi’s approach reflects a certain Japanese aesthetic, a recognition of the force and beauty that comes from paying careful attention to details, making sure everything is exactly as it should be.
subvert was lucky enough to host them in 2019 and we are thrilled to finally have the opportunity to present them to a select audience in an intimate setting such as ancient world for an extended 4-hour set. We are truly blessed 🖤
