subtlebody is a small task force, a meditation, a collective hand reaching toward an undefined future to borrow its ideas. it’s a quiet attempt to grasp a way of living that holds values we’ve yet to find words for.
how would you describe the feeling of inner lightness that radiates into the world around you? or the sensation of hugging a cloud, if such a thing were possible? these feelings are hard to define, but they can be translated into objects, garments, as emotional vessels.
everything can hold emotion; we are the ones who pour life into it 🫂

back in late 2020, we started questioning everything—how we interact with the objects around us, how clothes shape our experiences, and how they carry meaning without words.
in a moment of deep reflection, we found subtlebody - the invisible yet powerful connection between the physical and emotional, the essence of how we experience the world through what we wear.

celebrating 4 years of subtlebody 🫂
4 years ago, subtlebody came into the world. it started with off-white t-shirts, brown stitching, and a deep desire to change the way people feel when they wear clothes.
the experiment has unfolded into countless moments that at times are almost impossible to collect into one cohesive timeline, making this journey feel like it has held enough for a lifetime: innovations, challenges, breakthroughs, politics, geopolitical conflicts, goodbyes, and beautiful moments of success.
subtlebody exists somewhere between the physical and the spiritual. it’s kind of a long shot, we call it a “practice borrowed from a future”, the future we’d like to imagine for ourselves. it all began from a simple belief: that the act of wearing clothing should be a positive experience for everyone. out of so many bad experiences with clothing, a small idea was born, and over time it grew into the experience of defining the garment instead of letting it define us.
every moment over these past few years has felt a little unreal. the community that formed around the clothes and the story behind them reminds us again and again why we are doing what we are doing. the people who are walking this path with us have all been, and still are, the force that keeps us going, motivating us to bring more beauty, comfort, and curiosity into the world.
we are utterly thankful to everyone who took a moment along the way, wore the clothes, shared their thoughts, showed love and support to subtlebody.
we hope to keep growing alongside you, for many years to come ⛅️
