It's finally out, my second album The Relief of Sleep. It's been put back and put back for various reasons but so happy that it's finally here. The title is basically about 2025 and me having suffered a fairly major healthscare and the fallout from it and, particularly the first few months of last year, I was really looking forward to escaping the anxiety of something happening again by going to bed and hoping it would all be OK in the morning. I think some of the tracks really capture this feeling but there are others that were written before the incident that are far more uplifting. Anyway, what a sell! This is nothing to do with my music but it really is a great theme tune to a cartoon I've not watched in years and is probably massively problematic under a 2026 lens but the opening credits are fine, right?

I have been - and continue to be - consumed by writing new material and finishing off my second album. Was feeling a bit on edge earlier so started to have a go at learning this beauty. This as far as I've got so far but even just those first few bars are so satisfying and lovely.
