But most special was that many of the early activists I talk about in the zine were there, and were able to see how excited people are to learn about our community’s history.
I can’t really put into words how wild it all is. I am so proud of this work and so awed and inspired by the incredible community that’s been coming together around it.

This Saturday, Dec 6th, 2pm-4pm is the last of our FREE pop-up performances @creativealliancebaltimore . This time with Clayton & Birdie (Josh Aterovis and Emily Hall) from 2017’s “H.T. Darling’s Incredible Musaeum”
The eccentric and larger-than-life explorer, H.T. Darling, accidentally discovered a way to access a faraway planet. There he plunders the riches of the world, including wondrous flora, fauna and other species. Seeking to benefit himself, he has brought it all back to be displayed in an enormous Musaeum. During the opening night festivities, the downstairs staff, siblings Birdie (the shopkeep) and Clayton (the concierge) create a ritual to entertain themselves, secretly inviting guests to assist.
H.T. Darling’s Incredible Musaeum was a cabinet of curiosities that invited audiences to become both witness and participant in a universe of marvels, mysteries, and uneasy revelations.
Join us Sat, Dec 6th 2:00 pm for our workshop BASIC PRINCIPALS OF PUPPETRY. Since 2017 with “H.T. Darling’s Incredible Musaem,” Submersive has engaged audience with nearly all types of puppetry. Submersive Artistic Director Ursula Marcum leads this intro to movement, breath and basic techniques for puppetry. No prior performance experience required, but do bring your curiosity and sense of play!

This Saturday, 2pm-4pm, @mikajnakano reprises her role as Coral at our exhibit @creativealliancebaltimore . A socialite Scorpion Fish who loves to gossip, Coral wants to know all about you. Blending immersive performance, sensory engagement, and environmental storytelling, Submerged! invited audiences to reconsider the ways humans inhabit and share the watery worlds of our planet, fostering curiosity, wonder, and connection across species.
Mika has contributed to and appeared in over a dozen Submersive productions since 2017. She devised her mask, costume, and performance for Submersive’s “Voyages” chapter at the National Aquarium this past summer.

🎭 Join @submersivellc in an intro to basic techniques for puppetry! No prior performance experience required, but do bring your curiosity and sense of play! In this introductory workshop, we will work with simple paper puppets as we focus on breath, point of view and movement. You’ll have the opportunity to work individually with small puppets, and in teams to animate larger puppets.
