Subjugator’s genre is a bit challenging to define, often described as “Cyberpunk-influenced Metalcore” or “Cyberized Metal.” The band was formed in Lakeside, California, by vocalist Týr Lancaster. Despite a history of lineup changes, the current lineup consists of Barry Spencer on lead guitar, Justin Jones on rhythm guitar, Billy Allen on drums, Matthew Enos on bass, and Týr Lancaster on vocals.
Our band has gone through several lineup changes, and a good amount of turmoil especially last year, which lead us to losing half our members and having to rebuild. While we miss our old boys Sean and Kurt, we are more than pleased with the dudes we got with us now. We’re making a lot of progress and finally reaching the goals we weren’t hitting in the past. Majority of our members are huge Cyberpunk nerds and have a good amount of love for that genre, so we integrated aspects of that world into our look and music to feel more apart of it. Our band isn’t really here to spread any political messages, our music is about fighting through whatever nasty situation you’re stuck in, and crushing anyone that doesn’t believe in that. - Týr
Subjugator just released Belladonna Bites The Bullet, the band’s first single on July 11th. Several singles are planned for release, followed by an EP in the coming months. We hope to make a breakthrough eventually, we think our stuff is worth hearing. We want to see how far we can go with this.
Currently no shows are booked, but folks can expect to see us on the stage around the city at a high frequency here in the near future.
