Everyone deemed Subaru as unreliable, so let me share ALL my unreliable experiences with you.
To begin with, mine was a 2016 Subaru Forester XT(turbo variant) with a CVT gearbox weighing almost 1.7ton and it’s been under my ownership for about 3 years.
For this past 3 years, I’ve been servicing it religiously on a 5k mileage or 6 months period on whichever comes first.
On the record, I’ve changed out tires, brake pads, the standards oil and filters, spark plugs once as well as pulley belt once.
I would deem these as typical unavoidable wear n tear maintenance.
So what are other workshops visit for mostly? Needless to say, mods!
Done up probably in most aspect of aesthetics, handlings and cooling, performance and functional mod. And the freaking CVT is holding 310whp with 493NM of torque and it have never fail me and break down on the road ever once before!
I’m not sure what’s so unreliable about Subaru to people who doesn’t own one 😂 but yea, it’s surely reliable af to me.
And to the people who keep asking me about fuel consumption after every mod, pls go BMW(bus, mrt, walk) 😪
Also, pls drop in the comment on what’s your top choice of reliable cars!
