Organizing at Sub
At SUb, everyone works on a voluntary basis. Which means no rent or money is required from you, but the willingness to invest time. In principle, it is possible to organize any kind of event, as long as it is in accordance with the common basic consensus and the conditions of the house. Likewise, consideration should be given to the people involved, neighbours and equipment. This means that anything you can think of, from concerts and readings to workshops, is possible. Whether an event can take place at SUb, will be decided together at the plenum.
At SUb, we try to do as much as possible ourselves. We don't hire external companies, but volunteers take over tasks like sound engineering, etc. But that also means that no one gets paid. Neither the
technicians, nor the organizers. Bands / DJs or speakers do not get any fee.

We want every person to feel comfortable at SUb. This can only work if we are considerate and respectful of each other. If you feel uncomfortable due to the behaviour of another person or observe an assault, please contact the awareness team, organizer(s) or the people at the door.
What is ‘awareness’
Awareness is a concept that opposes any form of personal-boundary-violation and does not tolerate discrimination through sexist, racist, ableist, homophobic or transphobic behaviour, but acts against it. However, the awareness team is not a "party police“ but has the task to be there for the affected person, to stand by them, to support them and to find a solution together.

Why do we have a no-photo-policy?
You experience a great concert at SUb with your friends and want to share your joy on Instagram? We can totally understand and sympathize with that, but for many people your Instagram story causes quite a few problems. For example, for some people SUb is a safe space where they can be who they want to be and not be judged by other people.
Many have jobs or environments where such a party photo can lead to quite a bit of trouble. People dress differently at SUb than in everyday life, are often sweaty, sometimes drunk and generally just look beat.
In any case, these are not photos that people like to show their bosses.
In addition, not only naz1s but also c0ps collect information via social media channels. That means with your party photo you are not only taking away their work, but you are even putting other people in danger.
So please respect the privacy of others and enjoy the moment!
