Subseries is coming to lovely @damas.lisboa , one of our favourite places in town. 🫂 Here is a short introduction to the artists. @nharo_live is the pseudonym and music project of Francesco, synths geek from Brescia based in Lisbon for almost a decade, co-founder and member of the @enxertia__ collective. His music production and live sets orbit around the use of hardware machines and a flexible and compact modular system. Analog oscillators and textures, FM percussions, delays and uneven rhythms drift into deep and hypnotic soundscapes in which synthesizers lead the way and give room for improvisation. Living in the outskirts of Lisbon, Vanderley Neves, also known as @van.der__ , first came into contact with electronic music through Kuduro, House and Techno, andexpanded his interest to the later. As a creative, Van Der has increasingly taken on an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating on exhibition projects, sound installations and music made for the dance floor. His releases can be found on labels such as; Kepler Live, Obra, Osler Records and Glow Papers. @melinablanco___ is a Costa Rican music producer and DJ based in Portugal. With a diverse and ever-evolving musical identity, Melina aims to bring her own sound to both her productions and sets, moving between various genres, energies, and moods. Some of Melina projects are the co-founded TMPL, a Costa Rican label and collective supporting underground techno, and Pollen, a label dedicated to sounds such as ambient, IDM, and leftfield. Sub Series live session scheduled next week at @arrozestudios @van.der__ and @ccsd_0 are friends and got to know each other through the nuances from the independent electronic music circuit in Lisbon, back in 2017. At the time, Van Der as part of the Techno collective, Escuro, and ccsd with the alter ego, Gagat, was part of Schwarzvelt. Since then, they have frequently played together and collaborated on several projects. @sarge.pt defines himself as a versatile artist and recognizes influences from African music, Drum'n Bass, Hip-hop in his creative process. New show airing today on @quanticaonline with @europeancanon , an experimental electronic duo (Uvemaster/DJ Troublesome) at the forefront of the Andalusian electronic music scene. Drawing from their influential background in alternative and underground rap, where they produced for renowned artists & collectives such as Lil' B, Denzel Curry and the Raider Klvn crew, the shift into electronic music provided them a profound musical exploration 1st hour - Opening session set 2nd hour - European Canon Thank you so much, amigos, for accepting. *Trackist will be displayed later on SoundCloud. * European Canon isn't live, sorry for the misunderstood. Dear friends, After an indefinite absence, we are happy to be back again to the Sub Series shows at @quanticaonline tomorrow , between 6pm and 8pm. Let us hope that we can continue the amplification of local creatives, so that their work can, somehow, resonate in the ears of those who are interested and that despite the structural difficulties, we are contributing to another step towards consolidation. Our 2 guests for tomorrow are @imberbe___ , 1/2 of @borjmamakoff , that already contributed to the series early this year, and @hum.tro . "Based in the rural area of Western Portugal, Imberbe is an artist with a “Ghostly” take on electronic music, inspired by a distorted contemplative vision of life and by dreaming, Imberbe creates a pale sound world taking cues from the atmospheric side of techno and ambient music. His debut release “Fantasmas” released on March 2023 showcases this introspective, slow and blurry traits featuring dragged synth riffs, organic percussions, eerie melodies, spectral textures and intimate field recordings. For this set, Imberbe took an approach closer to club music, a sound that will also be explored with his future releases" Humtro aka Jorge Condeço is contributing to the show with a mixtape, a mix exclusively with his own productions. Jorge has been making music for some time. He is one of those talents, we don't understand how he is so underrated. Yet , Jorge has integrated some Lisbon underground music projects like Escuro Collective or Alice. Lately, back in June he was part of a Nariz Entupido event at Damas.

s. ikei x @sub.series x @quanticaonline For this episode we have an unreleased 45-minute journey from the hands of selv ikei. This sonic piece, originally designed and performed live on a 5.1 Dolby multi-channel system, was subsequently mixed and adapted to be re-visited in a standard stereo format, presented today for the first time. The artist started by recording a wide range of binaural soundscapes while trapped into the monotonous home-workshop routines, crossing the city day after day. After some basic treatment inside the laptop, these recordings ended up inside his modular system ready to be live processed thru the use of several effects chains and granular samplers. These textures were then mixed together with the rest of the sonic palette generated with his eurorack system and ended up getting further individual processing in Ableton Live before getting into the final stage of spatialization, done entirely “inside the box” thru the use of a M4L patch controlled live with a BCR2000 that was also controlling volumes, fx macros and arrays of filters. “Relatos de un Espacio Interior - RDUEI”  is a series of gigs organized by Andrea Bravo and casulodiy, centered in presenting immersive sonic experiences played live in a 5.1 Dolby surround sound system, while comfortably seating in an 10 room abandoned cinema, squatted in Sant Andreu. A big thank you to @van.der17 , @andreabrrrr_ & @casulodiy_ for creating this safe space for performing and exhibiting such a meaningful  piece for me. In March, 1 year of Sub Series was marked, with no mention of that date, due to forgetfulness, distraction. Once again, I want to thank all the guests and dear friends who have been following and supporting it. There will be two live events soon, one on the 29th of April at Desterro and the second one in May, yet to be announced. Today is going on air another session in our dear @quanticaonline , with two super exciting Live sets! @melinablanco___ "Melina Blanco is an electronic music producer, live act and DJ from Costa Rica, based in Portugal. Her music shifts in different directions of style and energy. Ambient and techno are among the genres that can be heard in her previous and current works. As a DJ, she plays a range of sounds that can go from ambient, techno, to electro and trance. Melina likes to create an atmosphere and cares about transitioning the energy levels during a set. She is a co-founder of TMPL movement, an endeavor that promotes techno events in the growing electronic music scene in Costa Rica." @moss_kissing "Moss Kissing is a musician, performer and audio-graphic researcher based in Lisboa. His live shows draw from a diverse range of sources, dubstep and techno form the basis of his sound, while performance art and underground metal infuse his stage presence. In 2023 he debuted his album “Pass Through” on vinyl for Lisbon collective Vilamar. Later this year, his mini album “Notes On Trip” will come out on Icelandic collective Post Dreifing."

New episode today at 6pm on @quanticaonline with: @de_gaer_ "De Gaer in its current form started back in 2014 while still based in London. There he was actively part of the club scene playing DJ gigs at legendary venues such as Fabric and Public Life, while also holding a residency at Fuse Brussels back in his native Belgium, under a different project name. These years were a catalyst for his transformation as De Gaer, developing his experimental sound and drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres, such as electronic to post-punk. Today De Gaer is Lisbon-based, focusing on his own productions, and the result is a unique and unmistakable sound that brings raw, industrial moods to his audience." @backtobeco aka Kara Konchar "Kara Konchar made his debut on Capital Decay with “Dungeon Rave”, featured on compilations by Mera and Weathervane Records, and later released the albums “Goth Partisan” and “Estige” on Rotten \ Fresh and Regulator Records, respectively. In addition, the artist recently put out three EPs – “Baba Ragga Yaga”, “Drum & Drone” and “Karadeniz”– via his Bandcamp page. Gravitating between industrial and club music, a dark yet humorous tone is present throughout his compositions. Frantic breaks, dirty basslines and a macabre atmosphere make for a ruthless, physical and uncompromising performance."
