SUB.CTRL is a project born around the end of 2020 from the collaboration between 2 djs,Fabrice Beeonex and DJ Cyco.
Having both grown up in the Underground scene, they discovered a strong artistic affinity.
The two are rooted in the fertile soil of 'Golden Era' Hip Hop culture, funk and the 'magnetic' attraction to 'British Breakbeats'.
Paths on parallel tracks, leading towards dance music made in the UK.
After their first trip to England, at different times, they both approached the world of 'sound system culture', and it was in clubs such as 'The End', 'Coronet' and 'Fabric' in London, among the various records shops in Soho, that they discovered their passion for the low frequencies of those genres that are now globally defined as bass music
SUB.CTRL proposes a part of the broad UKBass spectrum, establishing the boundary between 130 and 140 Bpm, slowing down the beats per minute that make up the musical background of the jungle/dnb period, drawing on his own sonic origins in a current key, searching for the freshest and most contemporary sounds that have led them both down the same path.
