My group Aunt Batty Knows... will be opening the festival.

Liverpool Improvisation Festival (LIF) 2026
Wowzers! How many different, interesting, funny, moving shows were there!
Meeting people from all over the world to all come together for spontaneous theatre is quite the thing you know. I very much love meeting new people and they were lovely!
Having an idea and a wonderful group of people working on it through to the point we open the festival with it. What an opportunity!
(albeit, the penny hasn't dropped yet).
My friends all coming out to support the show and every one of them telling me they are proud of me has been so genuinely moving.
Being part of a compassionate, funny, playful, hardworking and inspiring team illustrates the aims of the festival in broader terms, for community and to keep evolving.
It coincided with all of the election news and so in some respects it was a port in a storm, a pocket of playfulness, whilst events unfold.
Oh and we're looking to get Tales From the Armchair (((out there))) now, so opportunities to play together please come knocking.

My friends were there and that meant so much!
We got such good feedback from the audience.
Watched absolutely brilliant shows and talked with new people and familiar pals.
An uncanny ghostly nautical story was told and copies are available to buy once the author writes this up 😉
Big up the Aunties Gem, Karen and Rosie.
What a complete joy!

Tomorrow!
Performing at LIF with Aunt Batty Knows.
But before such audacious attempts, the gym.
One of the few places where nothing is required of me, that I'm not prepared to give, in benefit of my body, mind and yes, soul. I'm in a space just for myself. No-one wants anything from me. I'm lucky to have it.
So come and watch our show tomorrow and see me powerlift three women all at once!
