This year has been moving fast man. I haven’t posted on here as much as I use to, because honestly I’ve been so present in everything that’s going on. I have a lot to be grateful for. New opportunities, new home, new lifestyle, new challenges.

listening to a new body of work every day of 2026 — day 52: ‘do dreams really come true?’ by sú north
here are some highlights of my listen:
“dreams” is such a heavenly opening track. i love that we get an introduction of sú with his honest, storytelling punchlines. that “imma chase my dreams, imma make it mine” line really hits hard when you have big aspirations in life. and the addition of the drums around the 1:23 mark is sensational
i love the experimental approach on “MY fantasy” and the overall concept of “SIMON says” is genius. sú’s flow on his “SIMON says” verse is NASTY, too. the three-track run of “NEVER LET GO,” “her pt. 2,” and “the WAY” is absolute perfection. and jada imani’s “her pt. 2” feature is my favorite on the ep. she slidddd
also, “imma keep it on never let go. imma keep it strong. never let go. imma give it all. imma trust hope. imma say it all. never soft spoke” from “NEVER LET GO” are my favorite first-listen lyrics
the production and subject matter on “OUT my MIND” are another highlight of the ep. lastly, “speedin” is such an excellent outro. this entire ep will remain in my rotation moving forward and you all should give it a listen!!!!

i’m starting a new series over on Youtube with my family. i’m calling it “bases loaded,” an homage to the fact that my frankenstudio at my parents’ house is called “homebase studios.”
i’ve been leaning heavy into playing more bass again after neglecting it for years, and i have my friends to thank for getting me back into dedicating more time and finding new inspiration and challenges.
no better way to start diving in than attempting to learn a masterful piece that is @thedangelo ’s “another life.” his musical DNA is so infectious, it unconsciously resonates through all of us more than we can cognitively admit. may he continue to rest in peace 🪽

Another wild ride around the sun. It’s funny how alot of the photos taken of me this year has been with my back turn because this has been the year of persistence and looking forward. I haven’t stopped to ask what any of it means, I’m learning how to just appreciate all of it☁️

Do Dreams Really Come True? feels less like a title and more like something Sú North is actively working through in real time. Across these eight tracks, he sits in the space between wanting something deeply and not knowing if it’s meant to arrive. Songs like “Dreams” and “my fantasy” float in that uncertainty, while “Never Let Go” and “HER pt. 2” bring the emotion closer, more grounded.
With singles such as “SIMON says” and “The Way,” Sú moves effortlessly over the production, but the focus stays on the questions he’s asking rather than easy answers. “Out My Mind” and “Speedin” with Limbo capture that restless feeling of chasing momentum, even when the destination isn’t clear. The project feels cohesive, intentional, and honest — less about proving something, more about documenting where he’s at.
