I’ve been wearing Tarte cosmetics since 2006, so when @darlingdaydream reached out to ask if I’d join her for a launch event with @tartecosmetics to engrave their new Maracuja Juicy Shift pastel lippies, it was a pinch me moment for sure! 💋💄💖💛💚💜 The cherry on top was meeting my girl, the OG YouTuber and makeup artist, @kandeejohnson … she taught me how to do a sick smokey eye and how to cut my own emo, side-swept bangs circa 2009 😜 and 14 years later, I gave her a quick tutorial on how to engrave while I personalized her Shift lippie, what!? Just the kindest person. 🥰🫶🏽 150 guests enjoyed a beautifully designed event with music, aura photography, tarot readings, signature cocktails, an enormous candy grazing table, and of course, personalized lippies by yours truly. Congrats to @selenagomez for launching @rarebeauty into @ultabeauty !! Thank you for including us in this epic celebration and community 🩷🧡 We engraved the Soft Pinch liquid blush, and it was a hit! The guests loved it so much, they came back to gift their friends and family. The coolest part is that if you ever run out (bc let’s be honest, the pigment is insane and you only need a little bit), you can reuse the same engraved applicator! 2025 was a mixed bag of highs and gutter lows 🏁 Was it all bad? No. The most beautiful thing I witnessed this year was people showing up for each other after the Eaton & Palisades fires. I did what I could to show up for my friends and my hometown; if that’s all I was able to manage this year, I’d be content. Instead, peers reached out asking to team up or referred me to dream clients; I made friends with creatives I’ve admired for so long, and connections I made years ago came around to book me for events I never imagined being a part of. I was able to put together multi-artist teams to finish out the year on a high note and honestly, it has been the most rewarding distraction from such a heavy start to the year. I said yes to things I knew would bring me joy and I’m so grateful for every opportunity that came my way, every person that supported my creative business, and every person that appreciated my artwork! Here’s to moving forward with more intention, remaining kind and curious, and showing up for ourselves so we can be of service to others… 2026, let’s go ✨😎🤘🏽
