1.7 million photos in 10 years, that’s the amount of pictures it took to get me where I am on this day. And boy, am I grateful.
Today I celebrate being a photographer for 10 years. On this day in 2013, me and @gertjanunknwn founded Lumen Photography and shot our first event together (thank you for the trust @brechtdegeyter and @yasminemsch )
The growth my brand went through post-covid has been absolutely mind-blowing. With an incredible amount of pride I can state that I am doing what I’ve wanted to do when I first started this journey, working with clients I’ve always dreamt of working with.
A decade of freezing time, learning and growing, on both a professional and personal level. The people I’ve met, the places I’ve visited, the gratitude I’ve received. Thank you for your trust and making my life so fulfilling <3

3 months ago we embarked on a 8 day trekking journey through the Peaks of the Balkan. As a photographer, couldn't not bring my camera, obviously. Here's part 1 of 2. 🤗
Fun facts:
1) I carried 2kg of soda everyday because I was afraid to drink the (probably contaminated) source water, which it was not, apparently.
2) I was planning on not drinking alcohol during the trip. The plan did not work (last photo for proof 😅)
3) I need to work on my cardio
4) Albanians do not abide gun laws
5) The 11 year old girls are better in speaking English than my high school English teacher.

One year without nightlife, one year without zatte fotokes maken.
What has gotten me started and what has gotten me this far in my career has now been prohibited for one year exactly. Even though nightlife has not my core business for a while, events definitely still are. And the only thing I am yearning for is to be able to capture all these emotions on events again.
Hopefuly things are getting better soon. But one thing is for sure: I am more than thankful for every soul I met and who has given me opportunities in my carreer. If there is one thing we know for certain now, its that we Vlamingen nightlife nodig hebben. Dus overheid do your best e grtz
