(This took me so long to edit! 😂) Style isn’t something you have to chase—it’s already in your closet. The first step is identifying it, and once you do, you’ll start to see how your wardrobe tells your story. What you wear speaks before you do, so why not make sure it’s saying exactly what you want? Shoutout to all the people here who allowed me to be a part of their style journey! #personalstylist #closetedit #SelfCare #personalshopper #wardrobechange

Growing up, I never saw anyone wearing a hanbok outside of the Korean holidays, OR professional Asian female soccer players in Canada, for that matter. So when I got word that @afc.toronto was looking to do an Asian Heritage Month shoot celebrating @samantha.chang @hellopickett and @kaehansen representing their Korean and Filipino heritage, I said to myself… how could I NOT be a part of this? My approach to styling this shoot was to treat each heritage look with the respect it deserves while also showing that traditional clothing can live effortlessly in a modern, high-fashion context. I bridged the gap between culture and fashion through accessories, giving each look an editorial edge. I sourced one-of-a-kind pieces and styled them in unexpected ways, incorporating a vintage brooch, statement earrings, and a silk fringe scarf worn as a belt, while always keeping the gowns as the focal point. For Sam, Kaela, and Victoria, it was their first time wearing garments from their own cultures. Seeing them in awe of the designs and craftsmanship, and watching them step into the role as goddesses, was exactly what I envisioned for each of them. I wanted them to feel empowered and proud of their heritage and to take up space as Asian athletes. The hanbok was designed by @maxine_toronto who hand-sews each dress here in Toronto. Thank you so much for allowing me to showcase your gorgeous work. And the Terno was generously loaned by my amazing friend @notoriouslilkim I am beyond proud and moved to have been part of this powerful female-led shoot. Thank you @gloromy for your vision, and thank you to the entire team! Females, football, and flowers… it truly was a dream assignment! Asian Heritage Game is on May 10th at BMO Field, see you there! Stylist hack: Sleeve garters are fancy rubber bands that give you that tailored look. These babies will ensure your sleeves stay put while allowing you to move comfortably throughout your day! Can't recommend them enough! ✨ Link in my Shopmy #stylehack #petitefashion #sleevegarters #howtostyle #amazonfinds

I've had clients who so badly wanted to have the perfect wardrobe after a closet edit, or the most complete capsule wardrobe. But the truth is, you won't find style from wearing all the IT fashion items of the season. Style is a muscle and you've got to develop it just like anything else. I highly advocate spending an afternoon just playing dress up! Research streetstyle, designers, childhood pics! Find inspiration and make it your own. It's not just about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself ✨✨ #styleisselfcare #expressieyourself #styleover40 #personalstyle

Hot weather, 9 points... how did I do? Dressing for the day: A full day of shopping at the mall with my client in Florida. So hot weather outside, and full on AC inside. We did almost 12,000 steps so these (Olsen approved) Tevas were a lifesaver. Top: @pushbutton_official Bottoms: @clostudio_kr Sweater: @uniqlocanada Jewellery: @biko_official Bag: @cosstores Shoes: @teva Sunglasses: @elisajohnson.co Most things linked in my ShopMy ☝🏼 #personalstyle #kfashion #summeroutfits #whattowear #styleover40 📷 @safari_dan_

I never felt the need to find a tailor... When my dad passed away my mom gave my husband his Harry Rosen cashmere coat. Probably the most important piece of clothing I own. After a really upsetting accident, my dad’s coat was torn, and my husband was determined to repair it, which lead us to finding Zack. Instead of repairing it, he transformed it. He turned the damage into a one-of-a-kind design, something deeply personal that now tells a story instead of hiding it. It's changed the way I think about clothing. That it can evolve and change with you! Thrifting has changed for me too... I now focus solely on fabric and design and consider shape after since it can always be tailor made for you! If you're NOT in Toronto, ask around for an expert tailor! It's definatley trial and error.. but you'll find your Zack! ALSO: For a tailor, every job is different and pricing is case by case! If you’re IN Toronto, Zack is a must. And while you’re there, stop by L’Amour Café for something sweet. Always happy to share clothing tips! Also shoutout to my husband who didn't give up on my dad's coat and found Zack!! ✨ #tailor #fashionstory #personalstylist #supportlocal #craftsmanship
