JOY SPEARS’ REHEARSAL DINNER LOOK
I had the honor of creating a very special look for a very special bride. @joydenverspears has been a friend of mine for 15+ years. We danced together as teens, moved to LA as adults to pursue our careers, and back to Nashville to teach the next generation. When she asked me to style her rehearsal dinner look, I immediately said YES! We brainstormed ideas, and I decided to take it a step further.
I knew she needed to SHINE, so I decided to bling out the left side of this suit jacket to match that gorgeous ring @thewilldakota gave her. There are around 200+ hand sewn crystals and stones. The appliqués matched the vision perfectly. This jacket took over 25 hours to make. This was a lot of work and I’m so excited with the results. I’m so proud of myself! Joy absolutely loved it and looked stunning at the rehearsal dinner! Congratulations to the beautiful couple, who are getting married TODAY, September 23rd, 2023! PATCHWORK DENIM PURSE… 👖👛🪡
You guys I did a thing! I drafted this pattern (which was a first) and sewed this myself. This took about 10+ hours because I didn’t have a pattern to follow and had to make adjustments along the way. I used up-cycled denim and this beautiful fabric I bought in Togo, West Africa for this project. My machine couldn’t handle the multiple layers, so I had to hand crank the machine. I think my arm is still sore from that lol.😅 All in all, I’m so happy with the finished product. This idea has been in my head for awhile, so it’s amazing to see it completed. I won’t be selling this one but be on the look out for the next bag that I will be making soon. Comment below if you would like a bag like this.

A Woman's Journey TN , a nonprofit organization led by Carol D Cole Harris, is calling for a photographer/videographer to capture its Mother's Day Project Event on May 8th. The event focuses on filling 250 gift bags for mothers and women at the Nashville Rescue Mission's Women Campus, reinforcing their value and reminding them they are loved and remembered.
