So here’s the final product of a little project I’ve been working towards 😁
At the opposite end of the mall to the Hollister store, there's an empty storefront where Meadowhall allow stores to create a window display and we secured it for the month of June! I lead a team of 3 associates to put together a display and there wasn’t a brief so I had complete creative freedom, I just had to work with whatever merchandise we had in the store.
As we had the storefront for the month of June, and with it starting in the May half term holidays, I knew I wanted to create a bright collection with some summer staples in it, but also wanted to keep it elevated and fashion forward. I chose the colour scheme and some key pieces for the display and got the team involved to help with the specific outfit choices to elevate them and get them really involved.
I also knew we wouldn’t have any large format marketing or decals for the windows to show that it was a Hollister display, and so I knew I had to get creative. I chose to use some mens graphic logo items (our male customer do quite like the logo branding whereas our female customer don’t as much) and use the shopping bags, some logo sliders and the surfboards to make it as clear as possible.
Prior to setting the display, I was also asked to provide a brief visual representation of what the display would look like (see at the end), but on the day it didn’t quite go to plan as the rails wouldn’t fit through the door into the display unit and so with some improvising I managed to achieve the general idea I was going for by adjusting the heights of the T-stands & just using lots of mannequins. Overall I think it turned out great and the girls were amazing in helping get everything perfect ⭐️
