Thinking about a trip to Venice? 🇮🇹 Or already booked one? Skip the checklist and experience the city slowly — not just seeing it, but tasting it. BACARI CULTURE Venice gets called crowded, expensive, even overrated. And it can feel that way if you follow the crowds. But the real Venice is still there — you just have to wander off course. Lose the plan. Get lost in quiet streets, cross empty bridges, and follow the hum of local life until you find a bàcaro. These small, unpretentious wine bars are where Venice comes alive. Locals gather for conversation, wine, and cichèti — perfect little bites like creamy baccalà, soft-shell crab, or crostini with cured meats. You don’t sit for a meal — you point, pick a few, grab a drink, and stay longer than you meant to. That’s the magic of Venice: not big landmarks, but small moments. One bàcaro, then another. A walk, a bridge, another glass. Slow, simple, real. Save these spots for your trip: theses are our favourites Tag a friend that loves Venice ❤️ @allarcovenezia @al_merca_rialto Cantina Portega @cantinadospade Do Mori @cafferosso2963 Alla Vedova Cantinone Già Schiavi @osteria_ai_pugni

VENICE TRIP 🇮🇹 2026 On Sunday we closed the restaurant for three days and took the whole team to Venice — a little gastronomic adventure and a big thank you for all the hard work they put in every single day. More than anything, we wanted to show them the real Venice. Not the tourist traps, but the back streets, the little bars, the markets and the places where Venetians actually eat. The food culture that inspired Stuzzi long before we opened the restaurant, when we first travelled through Italy dreaming about what this place could be. We wandered the city with our well-used copy of the original Polpo book by the late, great Russell Norman — still one of the best love letters to Venetian food ever written. In many ways Stuzzi has always taken its inspiration from the best bacaro’s — those tiny Venetian bars serving cicchetti, small seasonal bites that change with the markets. Simple dishes done properly: seppia al nero, soft-shell crab, baccalà mantecato (salt cod whipped with olive oil)… honest food with big flavour. We were also lucky enough to be there during Venice Wine Week, with local producers pouring wines across the city and brilliant little wine bars hosting tastings, parties and the occasional disco. But as amazing as all that is, the most important thing is what the team bring back with them — inspiration, pride in Italian culture and a deeper understanding of authentic Italian food. That passion is something we hope you feel every time you come to Stuzzi. Hope you enjoy the photos ❤️ And thank you for supporting us for the last 11 years — it’s because of you we get to do things like this with our team. Grazie Look out for our little guide to the best bacaros in Venice to plan you next trip ! 🇮🇹✈️

Some dishes whisper. This one kicks the door in. Carciofi fritti at Stuzzi — baby globe artichokes stuffed with creamy melted Taleggio, wrapped in rich lardo, then deep fried in Italian beer batter until perfectly crisp. Finished with a silky artichoke & saffron aioli.

🐓SICILIAN ROTISSERIE CHICKEN SHOP 🍋🔥BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY — 24th MAY12PM–6PM As you know, we love mixing it up on Bank Holidays…First there was Après Ski ❄️ (sell out), then Stuzzi Fish Shack 🐟 (sell out) — and now it’s time for something completely new… and something we’ve wanted to do for years. On our very first tour of Italy, we visited a tiny village just north of Palermo and stumbled across a little rotisserie shop called Coccinella (“ladybird”). There was a queue stretching down the road before they’d even opened. So naturally… we joined it. All they served was whole rotisserie chicken — spit-roasted over potatoes soaking up all that glorious chicken gravy. Simple. Perfect. One of the most memorable meals of the entire trip. So for this Bank Holiday Sunday, we’re bringing a little slice of Sicily to you 🇮🇹 Expect the best rotisserie chicken this side of Palermo, juicy roast potatoes drenched in gravy, and rumours of a giant Yorkshire pudding stuffed with rotisserie chicken & gravy… 👀 Alongside the star of the show, there’ll be seasonal salads, stuzzichini, arancini, plenty of spritz, and ice-cold Sicilian Messina beer with sea salt & lemon 🍺🍋 Get your table booked for Chicken Fest. This one’s going to fly out
