MAKING A MUSICAL // PART 2 - FILM
2023: We set out to portray the visceral complexity of a depressive episode with compassion and empathy. It's a very nuanced process with lots of ups and downs, after all. So portraying everything completely bleak felt wrong. Therefore
@_reesii_ suggested turning the film into a muppet musical, brought to life by
@poweragnes and everything started clicking. At the same time,
@stupping developed a striking look to capture the alluring yet tragic way depression shapes perception.
2024: At our spontaneous shoot,
@franzischek designed a set blending the inner and outer worlds of our protagonist, embodied by our composer
@andrej_agranov .
@q_le_nguyen doubled as both body double and sound tech, while
@luis_see backed up data, assisted the camera, and collaborated with Franzi and Oskar to shape the mood.
And so, Anxiety Anthem came to life.
