Day 31 - Medical Mask 😷👨⚕️💨🏁
And soo it is done! Finally finished the whole sculpt january project. At first I wanted to sculpt various characters but in the end I've decided to limit myself to just masks. Reason being is that the year 2020 has changed around the world by the covid pandemic and one could say that looking back at the difference in how people changed at first glance is how everyone started wearing masks. I know it's primarily because of preventing the spread the virus but as I like to take things literally and overly psychological I would like to point out that in the same way it also masked our identities. In the same way it also covered our facial expressions so in a sense it has been also harder to depict emotions of a person. If we look what masks are essential they are tools used for all kinds of reasons. To hide our identity, to copy someone's identity, to enstill fear or humor to the viewer, to hide our emotions or to empesise them. I forgot where was i even going with this discription but what i wanted to say was, We live in a society. A masked society. ☻🤡

Or theater masks that represent comedy and tragedy. Apperently its called sock and buskin becouse the actors who did comedy wore thin shoes called "socks" and the tragedy actors wore "buskins". Pretty ironic how everyone wears socks and we still take ourselfs serious. Trully we live in a society 🤡🤡

The yellow one to be specific 😂 One of my fave childhood shows. The yellow power ranger turned into a lioness so her mask/helmet also resembles a lions head. Day 23 - Aku Aku Mask 👺👹🤡
Not to be confused with the Aku from Samurai Jack, but this mask is from the game Crash Bandicoot. Originally this mask is from a tribe In New Zealand but it was adopted in the game. I'm really happy how it turned out! 😁

Another studio Ghibli character! This one took almost 2 days to render just because I've added soo many hairs around the mask that the polycount went through the roof. Almost burned my graphics card because of it 😂
