The Colony Theatre presents the World Premiere of the original musical comedy “Millennials Are Killing Musicals” coming to the stage April 30-May 17. Don’t miss this fantastic world premiere before it heads to New York.
Created by Nico Juber and directed by Tony Award Nominee Kristin Hanggi, “Millennials Are Killing Musicals” has a contemporary pop-rock score and offers a fierce, funny look at identity in the age of social media.
Meet Brenda, a single millennial mom, who just wants to do better at “adulting” (like the seemingly perfect Jake’s mom at her daughter’s school), when her younger #influencer sister Katrina shows up eight months pregnant and totally unprepared for motherhood. The three women work to shed the Greek Chorus of social media filters on their lives to achieve their dreams.

You know when you meet someone and they have a dream?
Well, we are so honored to see that dream become a reality!
We literally saw it today at @colonytheatre and it was so funny, poignant, made me shed a tear or 5 ( I am a mushball!), and the cast and musical numbers were incredible!
Sometimes you meet people at a dinner with other friends, and they share their dream they are working on, and that was Nico Juper, and she created a theatrical experience we hope you all go see.
They are here for a few more weeks, and then they are Broadway bound!
We highly recommend it for a date night, if you are a mother (they have a song just for you!!🤣), have children, are a Millenial, or a parent of one, know people who are addicted to social media, or maybe you just need a fun few hours out, then GO SEE @millennialsarekillingmusicals !
