Begin dit jaar zijn we gestart met de realisatie van de landschappelijke inrichting en de nieuwe circulaire windschuur op de hoeve van het Kasteeldomein Poeke.

Early this year, we started the realisation of the landscaping and the new circularity open barn on the farmstead of the Kasteeldomein Poeke.

Begin dit jaar zijn we gestart met de realisatie van de landschappelijke inrichting en de nieuwe circulaire windschuur op de hoeve van het Kasteeldomein Poeke.
Conform de GRO-criteria hergebruiken we zoveel mogelijk materialen. Kasseien die op de hoevesite aanwezig zijn, maar ook hout dat gekapt wordt op het domein wordt ingezet voor de constructie van de circulaire windschuur alsook voor schutting, speelelementen, enz. De constructie van de circulaire schuur enten we op een agrarische logica, waarin we verbinding leggen met de materialentaal van het ontmoetingscentrum. De historische massieven op de hoeve worden gebroken en hergebruikt als koffer voor de wegenis. De inrichting van de dreef wordt voorzien als waterdoorlatende halfverharding en gerecupereerde kasseien.

In line with GRO sustainability criteria, we will reuse as many materials as possible. Cobblestones found on the site, as well as wood harvested from the castle estate, will be repurposed for the construction of the circularity open barn, fencing, play elements, and more. The construction of the circularity open barn adheres to an agricultural logic, establishing a connection with the material palette of the community centre. The historical concrete in the ground on the farm will be broken and reused as a substructure for the roadways. The avenue will be surfaced with permeable semi-paving and reclaimed cobblestones.

Our vision for the farmstead on the Poeke Castle Estate focuses on preserving and enhancing the existing natural and historically formed cultural landscape structures, with attention to logistical connections integrated into the landscape and educational-recreational experiences.
