Aspiring writer-director Alan coincidentally met his former girlfriend, now aspiring pianist, Valentina, during the making of his new passionate short film about their bitter split. Together, they attempt to re-simulate that bitter split for memory seeking, but their relationship meticulously shifts to an unexpected tempo following various circumstances.

📝:Rey, a well-trained Chinese Canadian MMA athlete, living under eotional repression, suffers from the nonstop barking of his neighbor’s dog at night. When he is trying remind his neighbor, he finds the door is unlocked, so he wanders into the room. A sudden dog bite triggers Rey kicks reflexively, killing the dog, and a chaotic struggle accidentally kills the neighbor too. With terror, he turns to the only person he trusts, his roommate Wey who believed they are only disposing dead dogs. Wey helps him dispose of the “evidence,” dragging four blood-soaked bags across Toronto as they improvise a series of disastrous cover-up attempts involving woods, backyard fires, and railway tracks. As the night unfolds, their fragility starts to break them. Love is lost and loyalty is shattered in the spiraling dark comedy of bad decisions.

VELVET MIRAGE (2023):
Neil, accompanied by his supernatural visionary abilities, attempts to heal all those who have experienced the tragedy of losing a loved one, as well as individuals who have dedicated themselves to his cause. All of this crumbles when Neil detects the presence of someone attempting to use his power for malicious intent, which leads to an assassination. The incident results in unexpected casualties and unites two women amidst a conflict between two rival families. Inspired by a modern Danish auteur Nicolas Winding Refn, this supernatural crime story revolves around three protagonists, their enemies, and colleagues, through the struggle of friendship, betrayal, and responsibility.
2 Years ago, I was privileged to become one of the producers to help along the production of this amazing high-school statement cinema by one of the perhaps most aspiring talent of our era - Akira Watanabe.
More than 20 people participated in this gigantic project, each of whom were filled with talents, passion, and dedication, all resulted in a work in which we confident to quote as "one of the ground breaking achievements of high school filmmaking"
If you ask me why I am passionate about filmmaking, you may find answer in this film. I adore every moment working on this film with Akira and with the other casts / crews. And later surprisingly realized I adore the whole process of filmmaking on sets. I didn’t realize back then how dramatic and wonderful the whole journey would be, which eventually solidified my passion towards cinema.
