Dreamboat Bride and now a very special, dear friend. The stars were surely aligned when Sophia Cohen asked us to plan and design her 60s-inspired wedding weekend. Kicking off the festivities, here she is in a chic Vintage Ivory Silk Strapless Column Dress from @happyisles_salon ... our custom Mad Men color-toned linen was inspired accordingly. It actually happened — the list! Things like this have always felt a bit elusive, especially in the beginning. What is “best” for some is not for everyone... how do you even measure it and where do you begin? So when @ejtay sent the best surprise news you could dream of receiving, all the feels were felt.
It is a true honor to be named alongside our industry heroes — and especially to be recognized as avant-garde, playful, and perfect for the artistic-leaning Bride... exactly what we endeavor to be.
This job is not for the faint of heart. It can be grueling. Even with a decade of experience, starting fresh — and during Covid — was incredibly tough. Especially so, trying to do something different... setting out to convince people to entertain your wild ideas can make you question if you are a little crazy! These past few years have been some of the hardest, but by far the most rewarding. To our small but mightiest team, the most trusting lovely clients, die-hard vendor partners, and all those that have supported us along the way... thank you. Sorry if this sounds like a really strange awards show speech, we are just excited and very grateful. Thank you Vogue!
