One-page websites are so powerful when every section earns its place. Grounded in community. Built on trust. Oakland (@oaklandcommunities ) have spent over forty years creating some of the most sought-after residential developments across South Australia. From the beach, through the city, into the hills and beyond, they design places for families, retirees, people looking for more space, or simply a change of pace. Every community is thoughtfully planned with the things that turn a neighbourhood into a home. Playgrounds, reserves, walking trails, gathering spaces. The everyday features that bring people together. So when it came to their new website, we wanted something that felt as considered as the communities they build. One page. Everything in one scroll. Nothing buried. Their story, animated stats, current projects, what’s coming soon, completed estates, socials, a register your interest form, newsletter signup, and footer. All connected by a sticky nav that jumps you straight to what you need. Their branding was already beautiful. “That’s too dumb to ask.” The questions people won’t ask you out loud are the exact ones they’re typing into ChatGPT at 11pm. Terri answered the question about what businesses can actually do to show up in AI search. She said the brands quietly winning at this aren’t the ones gaming the algorithm. They’re the ones answering the human stuff. The worries. The “I don’t understand the process.” The misconceptions about your industry. The things people feel a bit silly asking a real person. This is exactly the stuff we dig into in our brand discovery sessions. We ask the questions most people skip past, the layered, slightly uncomfortable, “why does this even matter to your customer” ones. That’s where the real human insight lives, and it turns out that’s also what AI is rewarding. We reckon if you’re building a website around what your audience is actually stressed about, you’re already doing the work AI rewards, even if that was never the goal. The brands that do this well show up in AI search almost by accident. So the homework isn’t “optimise for AI.” It’s getting honest about what your customers are quietly worried about, and answering those questions plainly on your site, especially the ones that feel too obvious or too small. Do you even exist in AI? That was the question we sat with at Stepney Supper’s Search 2.0 panel (@stepneysupper ) and honestly, it’s the one every business owner should be asking right now. Search is changing fast. People aren’t just Googling anymore, they’re asking ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini for recommendations, shortcuts and “just tell me what to do” answers. If you’re not showing up in those conversations, you may as well be invisible. In the studio with @cdpcinema 🎬 It’s launch day!! Starting with his work clipped together, every shot playing in its correct ratio because cropping a colour grader’s work is not an option. Further down, stills pulled from the reel capture the best moments and let his grading really sit on the page. The site walks through his two core offers, colour grading and online services, and on-set digital imaging. Clean layout, a few fun animations and a pop of colour in the footer done ticket-style. Most of you know @puddlejumperssa , the charity op shop right next door to us on Port Road. If you’ve ever donated clothes, grabbed a bargain, or seen them handing out free meals and blankets to people in need across the road , you know how much good these guys do in our community. They were broken into… Appliances stolen, cash taken, and their front window completely smashed, a $3,000 repair bill that a small charity op shop just shouldn’t have to carry. We popped over on our lunch break today and heard the news firsthand. It’s gutting. They’re the kind of neighbours that make Hindmarsh feel like a community, and they deserve better than this. They’ve got a glass jar going at the shop right now, sitting at $50 and we want to help them smash that goal (pun very much intended). Here are two questions I asked Terri on our walk the other day and she had zero time to overthink them! Me: You’ve got 3 seconds to grab someone’s attention on a homepage. What’s the most important thing? Her: An aspirational heading that shows your audience you understand them straight away. So the second they land on your site, they feel like this person gets me. That instant connection is what makes someone stay. Me: What’s the number one sign a brand needs a glow up? Her: When it starts feeling like a glass ceiling. You can’t charge what you want, you’re not attracting the clients that actually light you up, something feels off but you can’t quite name it. That’s usually your brand and once you fix it, everything else tends to shift. Do you want to see more of these walking chats with us?

Meet Interfy, a construction tech company doing something that genuinely matters for builders across Australia. They connect project management platforms like Procore with accounting systems like Xero, so construction businesses stop losing time to double handling and start getting their numbers in real time. When they came to us, their website hadn’t been touched in years. The business had grown, the product suite had matured, and they were showing up to conversations with partners like Procore and new clients in the US with a site that just didn’t reflect who they’d become. Our job was to fix that. We worked through a full brand strategy, nailed down their voice, and built a site that’s clean, direct, and unmistakably them. No fluff, no jargon, just a clear picture of what they do and why it matters! A huge part of what makes this site feel so alive is the photography. We collaborated with the incredibly talented @palms.brandphotography to capture the Interfy team in their element, and honestly it takes the whole thing to another level. For Grande, the brief was simple: fire and spice, refined hospitality and a space made for lingering.
