This February, Studio SJ quietly turned 5. It was a smaller deal than a kid’s birthday and a bigger deal than a sneeze. But let’s be real: it’s ALWAYS a big deal when a woman-owned business makes it to the five year mark. We just keep going because we’re obsessed with transforming this world one step at a time for our clients and the occupants of our spaces. Thanks to our creative collaborators—photographers, decorators, engineers, contractors. Happy Friday everyone! Studio SJ is a playful space to explore and celebrate the things that make life worth living. One of those things for me personally is female friendship (and the associated dancing which has recently been ON!). This studio exists because of the women who supported us as our first clients, those we’re working for now, those who drew, modeled, made images, and did site visits when I had my daughter and at so many other points, and the ones who kept me sane through Covid, remote school, and life in tiny nyc apartments and townhouses with and without children.
