The new temporary exhibition “Postcolonial?” has opened at the @houseeuropeanhistory ! It explores Europe’s colonial legacy and invites visitors to reflect on how this history continues to shape lives today.  This project took us all over Europe – filming in Italy, Norway, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Portugal. The result is a series of nine interview-based films with people sharing their personal stories of how European colonialism has affected them and their families.  “Postcolonial?” runs until 14 March 2027.  Swipe to see a few behind-the-scenes pictures.  Production: @meyvaert_   Photography: @houseeuropeanhistory@be_culture

The redesigned @kasteelammersoyen has opened its doors to visitors!  For the new exhibition, we created three short animations featuring the castle’s inhabitants from different periods. Each film is inspired by an object found inside the castle, with a small imagined story built around it. The animations are projected onto historical photographs and paintings, bringing the scenes to life.  We also created a longer film exploring the changes made by Arthur Baron de Woelmont, the castle’s last private resident, who transformed the castle to give it a more medieval appearance.  Exhibition design: @studio_louter   Builder: Flink Museale Projecten  Soundscape: @bigorange_theaudioagency

Back at @portlantis_rotterdam to update “Game Changers” – an AR experience that introduces visitors to companies and projects driving innovation in the Port of Rotterdam.   This time, we replaced the previous set of companies with five promising new technologies from the MAGPIE project – a European initiative focused on making ports cleaner, smarter and more sustainable. For each technology, we created an AR experience built around a physical model. This includes a 3D animation that visually explains the different projects, guided by a voice-over, as well as a video and additional text panels for visitors who want to learn more. The experience is designed to travel, with Portlantis as the first stop. Content: @portlantis_rotterdam   Exhibition design: @bindfilm and @wendyrommers AR software developers: @wintorar

We created a new immersive experience for @museum_broekerveiling – a historic museum that preserves the world’s first sailing vegetable auction. The installation is a four-wall projection that places visitors inside the story. They take a seat in one of the boats and begin a journey through time – from the Ice Age to the peak years of the auction. Along the way, the film shows how the landscape developed into the unique area of 1,000 islands, where the people of Broek op Langedijk cultivated vegetables and brought them to BroekerVeiling to be sold. It also highlights how physically demanding that work was, with every member of the family helping out, including the children. The visual approach is based on design elements already used in the museum – a cutout style with cardboard edges. We took these as a starting point and brought them into a 3D environment. The new exhibition “Faith” has opened at @museum_gouda ! The exhibition explores what people hold on to in uncertain times — because whether you’re religious or not, everyone believes in something. The exhibition was curated by writer Arnon Grunberg, human rights lawyer Naema Tahir, and columnist and presenter Stephan Sanders, each bringing their own perspective. The three curators also share their thoughts on faith in the interviews we produced together with @rebekkavanhartskamp and @studio_louter . It was a truly unique project to work on, exploring the kinds of questions that don’t have simple answers. “Faith” is the first part of the triptych Faith, Hope and Love — a series of traveling exhibitions organized by six Dutch museums (M6) in partnership with the @rijksmuseum .

After a major renovation, @muzieum reopened with a new concept and exhibition. In the renovated space, visitors experience what it’s like to be blind or visually impaired. They’re invited to question their own perception: what happens when vision is lost, and how do the other senses take over? We created an intro film that sets the tone for the experience. Alongside @rebekkavanhartskamp , we had the chance to interview three employees of muZIEum who are blind or visually impaired. Jesse spoke about what it feels like to ski as a blind person. John shared his passion for sports shooting, and Nina talked about how her own wedding inspired her to start a wedding agency. Next, we set out to translate these stories into abstract animation that reflects how each person experiences the world. How do you visualise the joy of standing at the altar? Or the feeling of wind in your hair as you race down a hill? Turning these experiences into animation was both challenging and inspiring. The new exhibition “Art She Crafted” opened at @wereldmuseum.rotterdam . It highlights how women, from ancient times to the present, have shaped art and culture – often without getting the recognition they deserved. Guest curator Rajae El Mouhandiz selected dozens of stories: from paintings and manuscripts to textiles, fashion, design, photography and installations. We contributed to this exhibition by creating a projection celebrating influential women in art and culture. Shoutout to @judithmuijs for her beautiful work as the exhibition designer. On view until September 27, 2026. Photography: @markrammers

The @annefrankhouse_official opened a new temporary exhibition, “‘Who Is Missing?’ – The Jewish Lyceum 1941–1943”. The exhibition follows the lyceum and its pupils and teachers during its two years of existence. Anne and Margot Frank attended the school for one year before going into hiding. For the exhibition, we created a 10-minute looping spherical projection that brings the classroom to life across three walls. Based on archival material, it shows everyday school life – students and teachers walking in and out, announcements of theatre plays, school photos, exams, farewells and vacation activities – highlighting how the school functioned normally, despite everything. Through the windows on the left, we show the outside world: raids, bombers overhead and anti-Jewish measures. On the right wall, the names of all pupils and teachers appear and disappear until only two names are left. The projection moves from lively to silent, gradually revealing an empty classroom.
