Hello! I'm Becky, the face usually behind the camera (and occasionally in front of the camera for the sake of saying hello) 😆
I'm a single mama to my brilliant 5 year old best friend, and the owner of another 5 year old - this business! I've been in this field professionally for the last 5 years following the birth of my daughter capturing growing families, births, newborns, milestones, family portraits, weddings, quinceañeras, headshots, branding photos, and more.
A little from the serious side: As an adult with neither living parent, I have a unique and ultra-sentimental approach to photos. I don't see each booking as a way for my clients to have content to post online. I see each booking as an upcoming heirloom I'm responsible for. Yes, you will love these photos for years to come. But do you know who will love them even more than you? Your kids. And their kids. And their kids. Because these photos are the only thing we have that actually freezes time for a moment. And speaking from personal experience here, someday they will be the last tangible piece of you that your kids have to cling to. It's why I take my job so seriously and why I say that around here we turn little moments into timeless treasures.
A little on the goofy side: I like to say that Diet Coke is addicted to me - not the other way around of course 🤪If I'm not wearing photographer hat (and the many hats that come with business ownership), you can find me playing with my daughter and niece, roaming Trader Joe's or Target to see what jumps off the shelf and into my cart, or in a mom group doing but my best to build and maintain friendships as an adult. It really is true that we need a village to raise these babies, and I'm so grateful for the village I started with in Missouri, and the village that is rapidly growing here in Illinois!
