Since 2011, three people have been quietly building something extraordinary in Cape Town.
Clinton Campbell, Miné Day, and Brad Hodgskiss are the Creative Directors and co-founding partners of Studio Muti — a multidisciplinary illustration and design studio that has grown from a small partnership into one of the most recognisable creative studios working in illustration today. Their practice spans illustration, animation, lettering, surface design, editorial work, and branding, developed over more than a decade of building a studio culture that is as deliberate as the work it produces.
What Muti has built isn’t just a portfolio. It’s a point of view — one that is immediately recognisable across formats, contexts, and scales. All three bring a practice rooted in illustration-led thinking, with hands-on creative involvement that runs through everything the studio makes. Together, they represent something rarer than talent: a long-term creative partnership, built from the ground up in Cape Town, that has only grown stronger over time.
At TDC 2026, Clinton, Miné, and Brad bring a talk and workshop exploring what it actually takes to build a creative studio that lasts.
