On Fridays our doors were open for young creatives to explore our workshops and discuss creative careers with our team. Our M/Others Ceramics sessions are very full, so we won’t be able to take any more newcomers this term. Sorry! If you have not been able to join us yet and feel like you have missed out, please do send us a message so we can consider extending our offer of child supervision to an extra day of the week. We can’t make any promises as yet, but we know all too well how valuable me-time is for isolated parents and carers of tiny ones. So if there is interest, we’ll give it a go on another day, to allow maker parents / carers to access our studios and make work, or try out new skills in the workshop. We are really approachable! We are not yet continuously funded to run all of these resources, so we are beholden to project-by-project funding for now. But we are committed to remaining active in our community in the long, long term. Starting 22 April we will be learning and practicing ceramics with Emma Chapman. M/Others is our drop-in for parents and carers of preschool aged children, to be yourself, creatively! Children are cared for in the adjacent room so you are never far away and you can hear how much fun they are having! Whilst you get some space in a relaxed and supportive, community environment. Practice creative skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. All materials and equipment is provided so there are no limits to how creative you want to be. Join us for a family fun day on Thursday 9 April! Crafting, stalls, games and cafe… 11am - 3pm Old Printworks Arts, Radstock BA3 3EP A team of local, entrepreneurial young people are behind organising this interactive community day. Brought together by the B&NES Youth Guarantee Trailblazer team. They are learning all aspects of event production and how to develop social cohesion in the community. Please come and enjoy their first live event and support their hard work. They will be fundraising for causes they believe in: SARSAS and SENDIAS. Cafe, stalls and games will be CASH ONLY.
