On view: ‘Shapeshifting’ by Loris Cecchini at GALLERIA CONTINUA / Paris Matignon The entire exhibition is permeated by a unifying principle: that of transformation as a lexicon. Cecchini does not represent nature but simulates its generative principles. In this sense, 'Shapeshifting' takes shape as a single, complex organism in flux. Light, color, and texture act as perceptual and emotional vectors, continuously modulating the viewer’s gaze. Cecchini’s work occupies a threshold where matter, subjected to forces of erosion, growth, or vibration, reveals its capacity to constantly negotiate between order and chaos, stasis and movement. With this solo exhibition, Loris Cecchini offers a vision of reality as an open and dynamic system in perpetual transformation. Shapeshifting is an invitation to inhabit a space in which forms are never definitively complete, but reveal themselves for what they are: temporary events within a continuous flow of metamorphosis. Happy birthday to Loris Cecchini @studioloriscecchini 🎂 On this occasion, we celebrate 'Allochories', currently on view in Venice during La Biennale, alongside his solo exhibition 'Shapeshifting' at Galleria Continua Paris Matignon. Drawing on the concept of allochory, Cecchini’s modular sculptures in Venice take root within the garden’s formal geometry, transforming it into a dynamic, living system. Between symmetry and mutation, control and organic growth, the works establish a subtle dialogue with the space they inhabit. Head curator @selcanatilgann . @studioloriscecchini ’s 'Waterbones (the social diagram)' is now part of the permanent collection of the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GNAMC) ✨ From December 12, the work is installed in Sala Consagra at GNAMC, following a powerful participatory project in Milan’s Barona neighborhood, engaging over 600 people, students, teachers, families, volunteers, and local residents. A modular sculpture born through collaboration, 'Waterbones (the social diagram)' becomes a visual metaphor for human connections, community, and the value of difference, showing how contemporary art can foster social cohesion and urban regeneration. 'Waterbones' is now part of the museum’s permanent collection, bringing the voices and experiences of Barona in Milan to Rome. @NoorRiyadhFestival | In the Blink of an Eye In his interview for Noor Riyadh 2025, Loris Cecchini shared: “I love the title In the Blink of an Eye — it perfectly expresses what a public artwork should offer. For this project, “Blaublobbing”, I worked with an abstract mirrored structure, and from this minimal form, we expanded large reflective bubbles.” Presented as part of the festival’s theme In the Blink of an Eye, “Blaublobbing” embodies Cecchini’s poetic exploration of transformation and fluidity.
