HXR Fest @hxr.world International Woman’s Day gallery takeover. It was a pleasure to contribute to the occasion through developing this generative system, complementing an atmosphere celebrating women-led creativity, film and story-telling. As a queer Black woman I took it as an opportunity to celebrate myself too, contributing through a relatively new mode of expression in the form of generative creative technology felt especially significant to me. Black to the Future: The process, the outcomes, the ambitions. Back to the Future. I enjoyed this movie growing up, thank you to dad for all the movies you put me on that I draw reference from today. This latest project allowed me to reference my family, my dad pictured in Trafalgar Square with pigeons, with my nan and aunties (1974) and my mum in Elephant and Castle (mid 90’s). The process was process heavy, still putting together the insights i’ve learnt along the way. My favourite part about this project was working with my collaborator. Special thanks to @swrv.studios there were a good number of hurdles but we muscled through and it made the process a better one🫶🏾 📷 @alandwestphoto

‘Black to the Future’ at the Outernet I was commissioned to create an AI-generated film exploring the past, present and future of Black British culture and identity. The process was incredibly layered and inspiring, deepening my appreciation for the people and experiences that shape our collective story, whilst also exploring this intersection of tech and culture. Debuting Tuesday 7th October, 12pm at the Outernet and showing throughout October.
