Vessels in red stoneware. Each form works around balance and asymmetry through subtle shifts in volume and proportion. Hand-built and relatively tall, their surfaces are left unglazed, emphasising the raw quality of the clay. Together, they form a quiet dialogue of shape and space, each vessel asserting its own character.
Red clay has taken over the studio. Tables cluttered, hands stained, cloths marked by the process and everything slowed by the weight of the heatwave. We’re immersed in the making of a new series of hand-built sculptural vases for a space that invites raw materiality and natural form.
Each vessel is an individual, shaped slowly and deliberately, responding to the weight and rhythm of the clay itself. This body of work is an exploration of volume, gesture and tension. Some carry structural weight and strict lines, others hold a quiet softness in their shape, but all come together as part of a shared language of form and intention.
