Landscape designer Robert Champion's photos of a day walking on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country. As the National Sculpture Garden revitalisation project gets underway, the multi-disciplinary design team took a walk on Country at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, guided by First Nations consultant Bradley Mapiva Brown of Bagariin Ngunnawal Cultural Consulting. Connecting to Country and embedding First Nations stories is a central part of their vision for the project. Here, the team’s garden designer and plant specialist Robert Champion shares a few photographs of a ‘very special’ day. The winning team includes CO-AP, Studio JEF, TARN, Plus Minus Design, and First Nations advisor Bagariin Ngunnawal Cultural Consulting. Rainy weekend site visit to Mount Wilson

🌿Announcing … Multi-disciplinary team CO-AP Holdings, comprising @coaparchitects , @studiojef.co , @tarn_landscape and @shftoptplus are the winners of the National Sculpture Garden Design Competition! The winning team was selected for their vision of the National Sculpture Garden based on respect, care and future ambition for the iconic three-hectare site. The National Gallery and the CO-AP Holdings team  will work together on the revitalisation of the National Sculpture Garden to create a living gallery for the 21st century.  Congratulations to the CO-AP Holdings team for their initial work. Looking forward to sharing more as the project progresses.
