The 2025–26 wildcard we could never have imagined drawing - yet one we’re so glad we did 🎨
Celebrating one year as owners of @studiogalleryyallingup feels like the right moment to reflect on what has been a true balancing act - two businesses, a new baby, stepping into an entirely new industry, and the constant pressure to simply get it done 👏🏼
While the direction at the very beginning may have felt a little unclear, every step since has been intentional. We’ve made a conscious effort to slow things down (even just slightly), to really take it all in, and to educate ourselves on the landscape, responsibility, and purpose of what we’re building here.
Representing 65 local and national artists - and ensuring their work continues to be showcased with care, respect, and quality - within one of the South-West’s most special gallery spaces, is something we don’t take lightly.
While I wish I could be there every day, Luka, Sabine and Sandy continue to hold down the fort in the best way possible. Alongside them, our family and close friends have supported us - and our babies - more than we could have ever asked for.
After countless trips down south, we’ve already shared so many meaningful moments with artists, clients, locals and friends… And it really does feel like we’re only just getting started.
We’re looking forward to continuing the gallery’s legacy, shaping what’s to come in 2026–27, and evolving the next chapter - with our artists and their work firmly at the centre of every decision we make.

The Gouldian finch is such a striking little bird. They vary in colour combinations and always make me think of the daubs of paint on my palette and the wonderful array of colours that artists have in their studio and in their paint box to choose from.
Somehow nature combines colours with a flair that never ceases to amaze and inspire me!

Get out if Town ! Into the bush meet me at The Studio Gallery in Yallingup and talk about my new exhibition Held Ground! The title also speaks to something more intimate. In a time of uncertainty, Held Ground suggests the possibility of being held — not physically, but metaphorically — within place. The works invite a quiet encounter, where the viewer might feel supported, steadied, and held within the space of the landscape itself.
