Dark and low-contrast palette, because that's what it feels like, one flight down Municipal Bar. Unapologetic letterforms, loud but soft like comfort food, vinyl-era attitude, we’re glad to present our work for Savannah's newest basement bar, where the lights stay dim and the energy doesn't.

A basement bar beneath @municipal_grand (you know, that hotel in Savannah we also branded and can't really stop talking about), @thehoteyebar is a low-lit, alive, the kind of place you slip into through the back lane and stay longer than planned. We handled naming, visual and verbal identity, collateral and signage.

A brand is only as strong as its consistency. For OPAL, we built a unified visual system that translates seamlessly across platforms, especially social.
From color palettes and typography to a signature pattern pulled from Opal’s handwriting, every asset works together to create instant recognition. Templates, motion guidelines and content rules ensure OPAL’s digital presence stays polished, cohesive and unmistakably hers.
A modern identity rooted in legacy, expressed with clarity across every post, reel, and touchpoint.

Meet OPAL. A fresh new salon in Tuscaloosa built on a legacy of skill, warmth and community. Named after the owner’s grandmother, a beloved local hairdresser who opened her own salon in 1960, OPAL’s brand identity bridges eras: honoring the craft and spirit she passed down, while embracing a contemporary visual language.
Our design approach let yesterday’s soul inspire today’s vision. The signature pattern is crafted from Opal’s real handwritten signature so her presence lives within the space, the brand, and the next generation of hair stories to come. All vintage imagery featured throughout the brand is sourced from Opal’s own personal archive, keeping her story at the heart of every touchpoint.
A brand that remembers where it came from and knows exactly where it’s going.
Thank you @opaltuscaloosa for trusting us.
Coasters are always fun to design. At Municipal Bar, ours are double-sided. One side means one thing, the other means something else, and only the servers know what that’s about.

Along our journey with @municipal_grand , we had the chance to name and brand its three food & beverage programs. On the rooftop, Sun Club is a relaxing respite crowned with a sparkling pool and takes a nostalgic approach to poolside hangs.
