Sharing a little bit about me 🍓 I am a event producer, poet, chandler, curator, designer, teacher, photographer, and witch. How I spend my days consists of cutting wicks, pouring beeswax, arranging images to tell heartfelt stories, styling spaces and places, casting spells with words, and taking timeless photographs on film. I believe in soft magic and take nods from the natural world. I relish the tiny, intricate details of daily life—lighting candlesticks before dinner, studying lichen, or laughing with my family—and I am constantly in awe of the ephemerality of life: fleeting, fluid, and in flow. When I’m not in the studio, I can be found spending time with loved ones, walking in the woods, paddleboarding, surfing, or attending a concert. Image by @mighty_creative_agency

🕯️The self-serve candle stand is back 🕯️ Nestled in the heart of Picton, we officially reopen on Friday, May 1st. Opening on this date is intentional—it marks both Beltane and the Flower Full Moon. Beltane, rooted in the Gaelic Bealtaine (or “bright fire”), signifies the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, making it the perfect moment to restock your supply of candlesticks for your dining table or daily ritual. Season Hours Days: Friday through Monday Time: 10:00am – 6:00pm About the Collection Every candlestick is made by hand in the candle wax studio using pure Canadian beeswax and cotton wicks. A little bit about the studio & what’s on offer 🕊️ studio free folk offers a multidisciplinary approach to intentional living in Prince Edward County. Founded in 2018, studio free folk is a creative studio immersed in the realms of design, photography, and craft. The candle wax studio specializes in hand-poured beeswax candles, including mini tapers and traditional candlesticks, as featured on HGTV’s The County. Whether you are searching for beeswax candles via our online shop, at our candle stand, or seeking private candle making workshops in Picton, our work is rooted in ritual and traditional craft. Beyond artisanal goods, we provide event production and creative direction for weddings, concerts, and art installations, alongside design sessions for commercial and creative spaces. We capture presence through film photography, custom albums, and poetry commissions. We work with creatives and couples to witness the potency of prescience in everyday life. Flowering Wild is a collective of independent florists, growers, and land-connected creatives, convened through studio free folk, who come together to create immersive floral installations rooted in seasonality, place, and community care. We gather around a shared belief that flowers are both art and offering—ephemeral, expressive, and deeply tied to the land. The cute little candle stand is back and open Friday through Monday from 10:00am until 6:00pm. Nestled in the heart of Picton, the candle stand is nook for all your candle needs. The stand is stocked with beeswax tapers in various lengths, composition, and colours. Favoured for their function, tapers candles are the eldest candle used. So grateful to be back in market season. There is nothing like spending the morning wandering through the booths—picking up fresh greens from @paperkite.farm , a crusty sourdough from @theelmbrookfarm , and sharing some @jkfrenchfries with my daughter.
