Sometimes I head to the mountains for inspiration. Me + hundred year old oaks, & a few of my favorite finds. Happy Friday from the studio!!

Good Morning world, I’m Eli. Garden enthusiast turned landscape designer. With a keen eye for detail and a gardeners heart, I’ve created Studio Elico to create a more beautiful world. Let’s grow baby!
A study in simplicity + soul.
My most recent garden on Rhodes is a nod to my days living in Santa Barbara. I spent my college years captivated by this exact rhythm—not realizing then that it would eventually become my life’s work.
There is a profound poetry in the work of moving the soil—the weight of the boulders, the intentionality of the patterns, and the quiet thrill of carving out a space where life can finally settle.
To my dear friend @jordanbarouch : Thank you for protecting the vision and allowing me to run wild. The perfect partner for this dance. 🍃

Our latest in the Hollywood Hills—
Our garden at “Colony” was an exploration of tension: curated, unique details set against the untamed energy of a tropical landscape. We leaned into the home’s existing, deeply rooted bones—preserving the history of the site while reimagining it through a new lens.
Down to the variety of the grass, every element was an intentional choice. A quiet sanctuary that feels deeply alive. The old, the new, and the wild.
Grateful for @omedezin for their trust in me on yet another masterpiece in design.

One of my favorite moments from our latest project on Rhodes-the perfect tiled courtyard.
From the get go, I was drawn to creating something quiet but impactful—subtle, yet full of character.
A curated mix of tumbled limestone, chiseled edges, and intentional layout designed to feel effortless within the landscape. Even better than envisioned. 🪨 🏔️ 🪴

The best day planting for @omedezin at their latest and greatest — The Colony. Exited to show you how this turned out.
DM if ya want a plant list! Let’s grow baby.
Picking plants for our friends @omedezin . We believe the most extraordinary projects begin at the root—with an eye for quality and a passion for the hand-picked. 🪴
Day 1 of taking you behind the scenes of my projects. Our Bundy project with @jordanbakva + @oconnorestates is officially underway.
After months of designing this special home’s garden, we’ve officially hit the ground running. Planting seeds and tilling the soil !!

Fun fact: I used to be a chef before becoming garden obsessed. My life goal is to someday be able to grow my own foods and raise a farm.
For now I grow flowers and visit the farmers market every week to stock up on my seasonal favorites. Highly encourage it!
To ground a garden is to weave in pieces of historical permanence. I sourced this limestone trough from a small village in Turkey, where it sat buried for years—now, it is the foundational pulse of my latest install in Studio City and I couldn’t be more excited about it.
There is a primal sophistication in the movement of water against weathered stone, channeled through custom copper to breathe modern life into a storied past. It is more than a feature; it is a shift in energy.
