오츠 커피 파리점을 위해 가구를 디자인하고 제작했습니다.
스튜디오 EAEA가 위치한 서울과 오츠 커피 파리점이 위치한 파리는 모두 도시를 가로지르는 강을 품고 있다는 공통점을 가지고 있습니다. 이 의자는 파리의 센느강과 서울의 한강에서 모티프를 얻어 디자인되었습니다. 접판의 형태를 통해 강의 흐름과 이어짐을 형태적으로 풀어낸 의자입니다.
Furniture was designed and produced for Oats Coffee Paris.
Seoul, where Studio EAEA is based, and Paris, where OATS Coffee Paris is located, share a common characteristic: both cities are shaped by rivers that run through them. This chair was designed with inspiration from the Seine in Paris and the Han River in Seoul. The flowing form of the laminated panels expresses the movement and continuity of the river.

오츠 커피 파리점을 위해 가구를 디자인하고 제작했습니다.
이 프로젝트는 한국의 오래된 기억과 일상의 풍경에서 출발했습니다. 어린 시절 놀이터의 정글짐, 집마다 하나씩 있던 빨래판, 강가에서 물수제비를 던지던 돌과 같은 장면들입니다.
한때 너무 익숙했지만 지금은 점점 잊혀지고 있는 사물과 풍경에서 형태적 단서를 찾았고, 이를 가구의 구조와 디테일로 재해석했습니다.
특히 오래된 건물을 보존하며 공간을 디자인하는 상황 속에서, 오래된 것들이 지닌 기억과 형태 역시 하나의 디자인 언어가 될 수 있다고 생각했습니다.
Furniture was designed and produced for Oats Coffee Paris.
The project began with memories of everyday scenes from Korea’s past: the jungle gyms of childhood playgrounds, the washboard once found in every home, and the stones used for skipping across rivers.
These familiar yet gradually forgotten objects became formal references, reinterpreted into the structure and details of the furniture.
As the project involved designing within an existing historic building, we were interested in how older objects and memories could also function as a design language.
By presenting these ideas in Paris, the project began with a simple thought:
what if things that are gradually being forgotten in Korea could be remembered again from afar

Description
Seam approaches furniture not as a single mass, but as something to be observed slowly and closely.
The gaps between the wooden boards are not structural flaws but intentional boundaries where the eye can pause.
The work reflects sensations discovered while observing joints, shadows, and cross-sections of materials found in old furniture and workbenches in Euljiro.
Seam proposes a moment to look at what exists in between.

Discovery of Bool, 2025
Discovery of Fire is a Korean Grill House located in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu.
In designing the Space, furniture for this project, we explored how the essence of fire could be subtly and meaningfully embedded into the space. Motifs such as charred surfaces and the flickering movement of flames were interpreted into forms and details throughout the furniture and interior.
We also experimented with various materials—such as red copper and intentionally burnt wood—to study how fire interacts with different textures, and continuously refined these expressions to integrate them naturally into the final spatial and furniture design.
불의 발견은 마포구 연남동에 위치한 한국형 그릴하우스입니다.
이번 가구 디자인에서는 ‘불’을 어떻게 공간과 오브젝트에 자연스럽게 담아낼 수 있을지에 대한 고민을 중심에 두었습니다. 그을린 자국, 불꽃이 일렁이는 형태감 등을 모티프로 활용해 가구와 공간 전반에 불의 분위기를 녹여냈습니다. 또한 적동과 태운 목재 등 다양한 물성을 실험하며, 불이라는 요소가 각기 다른 재질 위에서 어떻게 텍스처로 구현되는지 지속적으로 탐구하여 디자인에 반영했습니다.
