We’re here for the queers and the weirdos. For the artists, the dreamers and creatives.
We’re here for the folks who are tired of seeing clients in their spare room. The small business owners who are done with going it alone and want some great company for the journey.
Our aim is to hold space for the space holders. To create a place for creative small businesses (and the folks running them) to thrive.
Studio Dreamland is a where we can grow, create, and build new worlds together, dreaming into what’s possible.

They span a wide range of modalities, but each in their own way will help you move into deeper relationship with yourself and the world.

Your attention is precious. We want to honour that.
We’re more interested in wandering conversations over hot tea than finding the latest trending audio. We want human connection, not AI slop. We’d rather send you little love letters than get you sucked into the doom scroll.

There are a few principles that lie at the heart of Studio Dreamland. They are the guiding lights that underpin everything we do.
🧡 Welcome – Everyone is invited in. Every part of you is welcome here.
Difference and diversity are not just accepted, but celebrated. We centre those that have been historically marginalised: Black, Brown, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, immigrants, disabled, the impoverished, and communities in crisis.
🧡 Creativity – We believe that creativity is sacred, and comes in many forms.
Being able to play, feel, express ourselves, and dream are undervalued skills in a world built for productivity and extraction. We want to make space for folks to reclaim them.
🧡 World Building – We are dreaming more just, connected, caring worlds together.
The work of change is a spiralling, cyclical unfolding. Studio Dreamland is a place to be within change, both individually and collectively, and we believe our individual healing and societal healing are intrinsically linked.
🧡 Connection – We need one another.
Our ability to hold space for others, and create our unique work, depends on us feeling connected in concentric circles: self, community, earth, spirit.
We honour that interconnection and consciously create a network of care that ripples beyond the individual.

When our founder @ellebowerjohnston - a somatic practitioner and breathworker - first moved to Nottingham she couldn’t find anywhere to hold workshops.
She searched for a calm, intimate space. Somewhere affordable. Somewhere with the equipment she needed so she didn’t have to drag hers around town. Somewhere that felt welcoming and weird and a little bit magical.
On her quest, she also found other wellness practitioners and creatives with a similar problem.
Folks having to tidy their life away so they could see one-to-one clients in their living room.
Folks sick of running wellbeing workshops on sticky pub carpets.
Folks trekking around town to see clients, or losing out on bookings because people couldn’t get to them.
So she decided to build a space for the space holders.
And so Studio Dreamland was born. It’s a place for space holders and creatives to share their work, connect with one another, collaborate, refer, and create in community.
