She was a family member for the past seventeen years, guiding us through the highs and lower parts in life. Always present with a gaze that said, I‘m here for you. When I visited my parent‘s home, she stayed with me, we had a bond. She had the softest multicolored coat and sweetest face. We will miss you! Rest in peace, little Lilly. 💔

It was late November in 2021 and my friend @melodie_michelberger came to NYC for a visit. We had a great time filled with museum visits, bubbles and long walks. She bought this lovely red swim suit @marahoffman and it seemed like a good idea to get out to the Rockaways and capture this moment. Turned out, we were completely crazy. It was freezing cold and the wind bit our faces. She was a trooper! The last video shows some BTS… Later, we rewarded ourselves with a mountain of fries and tea at the Rockaway Hotel nearby. It hit the spot. This wasn’t the first time, we took pictures under such circumstances. We did a similar shoot in Iceland a few years prior. And it probably wasn’t the last…

We do not want to spend our tax dollars on starving the Cuban people. On a genocide of the Palestinian people. On a war against Iran. On deporting immigrants. On detaining innocent people and keeping them imprisoned. We want to spend our money on building a society that supports the people. On health insurance for all. On education. On housing. If there is a budget for an endless weapon supply to bomb Iran, there is money to pay reparations. Hard conversations on history need to take place for everyone to begin to heal. Whatever this is, it’s not working.
