Growing up, we had a set of Christmas tree decorations which were conical teardrop shapes and covered in layers of iridescent green paillettes. I loved how much larger they were than all the other ornaments, how much brighter, how much shinier, the gems that still managed to stand out in a riot of colours. We said they looked like one of our favourite characters from one of our most loved tv shows: the Soup Dragon from The Clangers ๐

Not one to hang about, after my 35mm portrait session marathon back in February, you know it wasn't going to be long before I decided to step things up a notch with 120mm ๐๏ธ
These were shot as a little test during Dolly's digital portrait session. (The light leaks are entirely my fault for getting too excited and not remembering to wind the film to the end after shooting, thankfully I snapped that camera shut again as soon as I realised).

One year ago today - @missymalone was the first client to step into this flamingo pink wonderland (and still one of my favourite studio sets to date)!
This set was such a labour of love and whilst it won't be returning (some things really are "limited edition") I AM starting to think about my next colourwash set ๐ค.

It was quite wonderful to see how the colours we were shooting came out on film during this session last month. I would love to be able to get some of these scanned at proper resolution (these are just taken from my little home scanner which really doesn't cut it in terms of quality).
