Intergenerational Union - Dr Rebecca Roke | WIP Ideal Rooftop Communal Area
This studio responds to the Australian Institute of Architects international competition brief, exploring housing for healthy ageing through intergenerational living. Set within a campus-adjacent context, it investigates how design can foster connections between older adults, students and the broader community. Guided by the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines, students will critically translate policy into spacial outcomes, developing proposals that support wellbeing, independence and social engagement.

Goldfields Urbanism - Perspective Views | Drawing on the Goldfields bid to UNESCO, my design draws the unique functions of tunnels and shafts in these historically rich rural Victorian towns. My site in Ballarat resides on a tunnel system between the old courthouse and gaol, with a large hill on one side that guided a large portion of my design. Buried deep into the side of the hill, my design features a brutalist exterior while shafts and voids filter through light to provide a warming internal experience.
