Two directions for a master bedroom scheme.
My clients came to me because they were struggling to pull the room together. Although they’d played it quite safe with neutrals in previous homes, they both actually really liked colour. The challenge was finding a scheme that suited their slightly different tastes and felt balanced for both of them.
A big part of my role is helping clients find that middle ground and pull together a scheme that feels cohesive and works for everyone living in the space.
Working around their existing bed, I created two directions to help shape the relaxing sanctuary they were after.
One takes a slightly bolder approach with colour and contrast, while the other feels softer in contrast but stiol uses colour in a deep green and dusky pinks.
I love how colour completely alters the look and feel of a space. Tell me, which scheme would you go for?
And if you’re struggling to know how to introduce colour into your own home, feel free to get in touch, I’d love to help.
Transforming your space can feel like a lot. So many clients I speak to say they've had ideas, seen things they like but have no idea how to make it work in their space so end up doing nothing.
This is where I come in. To help you move forward confidently creating your dream space and taking away the decision overwhelm.
If this feels familiar get in touch, I offer a free 20 minute discovery where you can tell me about your project and I can give you more information on my services to see of they are the right fit for you.

If you're space is lacking personality- cushions might just be the answer!
They are the perfect opportunity to have a little fun and add some colour and pattern.
And my tip for a really luxe finish - always use feather inners and make them bigger than the cover.
Here's just a few bespoke cushions we've been making for recent projects.
If you've got a space you'd like to bring to life we've got a studio full of designer fabrics, feel free to drop us a line to see how we can help.
New project and a slightly different one for me… a holiday narrow boat 🚤
My client came to me wanting to refresh the boats and add a little colour.
The starting point is new curtains - all 22 of them. There are a lot of windows on a boat as it turns out. The fabrics are inherently black out lined so perfect for creating cosy sleep cabins without the need for bulky extra linings.
The pastel colours from the fabrics will lead all the bedding and accessories creating a slightly different feel in each cabin but making the whole boat feels
I’ll be sharing more as it comes together, it’s a fun one.
And if you’ve got a space that feels a bit tired or not quite working, feel free to get in touch. Always happy to have a chat 🤍

Hi I'm Erica and I run Studio Dee.
After 17 years working for a brand in the luxury interiors sector, I now help people work through those "I'm just not sure where to start" moments in their homes.
I love meeting people, finding the struggles and creating beautiful solutions.
If you're finding any part of your interior tricky - feel free to drop me a message. I'd love to chat about how I could help.

My client sent me this asking which height felt right for their artwork…
The answer? The lower of the two.
Hanging artwork too high is one of the most common things I see and it can instantly make a space feel a bit disconnected.
As a general rule, the centre of your artwork should sit at eye level, which is roughly 145–150cm from the floor.
If you’re hanging art above a sofa, console or bed, it should feel anchored to the furniture rather than floating above it.
Aim for around 15–30cm above the top of the furniture to keep everything feeling connected.
And if you’re lucky enough to have picture rails, use them. They make it so easy to adjust heights and move artwork around without committing to one position.
It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference to how a room feels.
If you’re unsure about placement or pulling a scheme together, feel free to get in touch or take a look at my Helping Hand service via the link in my bio.
This one started with a piece the client already had and didn’t want to lose - an oak coffee table with a really beautiful live edge.
Rather than design around it, we’ve taken that detail and used it to shape the scheme.
We’re creating a bespoke floating shelf that will run the full 520cm of the room, using a live edge to echo the same feel. It’ll sit low across the wall and form the base for the TV, artwork and styling. Simple, but impactful.
Slide 1 shelf vision
Slide 2 full scheme
Slide 3 the actual timber we’ll be working with
I love this part of a project, taking an idea and working with the right people to actually make it happen.
Looking forward to @jmsfurniture helping to bring this together 🙌
New concept mood boards ✨
I’ve been working alongside portree.kitchens to help their lovely client pull together the wider scheme for a large open plan kitchen space.
Originally, the plan was to use dark green throughout… which is beautiful, but with cabinetry running across the boot room, utility, pantry and kitchen, it risked feeling a little heavy and samey.
So instead, we’ve introduced Little Greene’s Adventurer across key areas like the island, boot room and pantry, and then layered in additional colour and pattern through the softer elements.
It keeps everything feeling cohesive, but with a bit more interest and variation from space to space.
This is often the part people say they find tricky… not choosing a colour, but knowing how far to take it and where to balance it.
If you’re in that “I love this but is it too much?” stage, I can help you figure it out.
Feel free to drop me a message and we chat through your project to see how I can help.
