I never thought it would take so long to find just 101 kitchen tools on Amazon that are all either MADE IN USA, or designated as small / family / minority owned businesses. But this has been a goal of mine for a while, so I dove in on New Yearâs Day. Coming up from my rabbit hole 3 days laterâŚđ
I was happy in the end that I could find a really broad mix of quality and innovative tools commonly used in the kitchen. Today I plan to go back to my list and buy the things I need to make my own kitchen healthierânew cutting boards, glass storage containers, and wood utensilsâand Iâm honestly so glad I donât have to huntâI already know thereâs a cutting board from Vermont calling my name. â¤ď¸
I didnât even get started on glassware, dishes or small appliances. Weâll see how this one goes, and take it from there. I just crossed off my first two New Yearâs resolutions!!! Yay me!!
PLEASE NOTE I JUST ADDED DM AUTOMATION AT AROUND 3:30 today. All prior comments with the word âshopâ wonât get a link DM. Pls go to the link in bio or comment again if you prefer a DM link.
Our little Steppe Sink has taken a big stepâŚitâs now a registered trademark! Itâs exciting to âgive birthâ to a product like this and to watch it grow up. Thank you to @nantucketsinks for their care and professionalism in making this sink with us. It was launched in copper last year which Iâm excited to try!
And although I tend to take a softer approach to marketing, Iâm happy to share the link to buy direct on my âshopâ highlight, and if anyone is interested in a direct link in their messages, since yâall seem to like that DM automation, I can do that if you type âshopâ in the comments.
And with that I am heading out to walk the corgis on this sunny SundayâŚand will be thinking about sinks as little as possibleđ
So much ow what we do is a ânice to haveâ not a â have to haveâ but when you interact with the things in your home this often, itâs easy for those nice to have to turn into âhave to have themâ moments. What is your biggest â have to haveâ for your next Kitchen?

Alright our kitchen tune up is finally done and for Motherâs Day what could be better than a little bit of me and @owen.robertson in the kitchen doing what we do so wellâŚpretend to be cooking for a reelđ¤Ł
We had the @perigold team with us for a day doing video for our collab and we managed a few outtakes but not a lot. This is a super hard working corner of the kitchen that rarely gets much of the limelight but makes everything go smoothly.
Happy Motherâs Day from a real mom, not ChatGPT (youâre welcomeđ)

We treated ourselves to a little kitchen tune up after 9 yearsâŚwe did a little video this week and we managed to even get a little on the iPhone when the crew stayed out of the space for half a secâŚ
We will share more in the coming days and weeks!!

Some kitchen designers intentionally avoid corner storage, but around here we like to embrace it! Just a few solutions take care of most of the storage needs we often see. Which one is your favorite? I like the lemans the best in my own kitchen.
Another dream of a kitchen for #inspirationsaturday by @_studio_trio that inspires us with its soft blue tones, and dramatic hits of brass and black âand it never hurts to throw in an archway! The pantry is a beautiful extension of this space without being too big. Whatâs your favorite part?

I love to pack a lot into a tall pantry, but my end game is not just the efficient use of space. I love a kitchen with a minimal amount of wall cabinetry. And if the plan involves removing cabinets, then whatâs left needs to work harder.
Tall pantries offer up a lot of space but need to be designed well to leverage that space. Otherwise they can end up a cluttered, disorganized mess where expired food hides in the back. Keeping things visible is key.
Enjoy your #storagesunday !!
Just a tad late to the Earth Day party, but itâs never too late to consider new habits that are good for the environment (and ergo, humanity).
Composting food scraps is also fabulous for your garden and so thereâs that side benefit. And if you toss them straight into the garden the đŚđŚđŚ will love you too!!đ¤Ł
We go with a mesh front, a bin shape, or a keyhole front. There are lots of ways to make these both pretty and functional. Sometimes we use a simple stainless perforated metal for the air flow, and sometimes we get fancy with a mesh or grille from @archgrille ⌠which one is your favorite? Stephen designed a custom mesh pattern for us that he named the EnigmaâŚnow we are considering naming our first book âEnigmatic KitchensââŚthought on that? JK thatâs actually not in the runningđ¤Ł
Some of our favorite thingsđ
We are leaving @highpointmarket tomorrow with so many amazing finds in new friends, vendors craftspeople and inspiration. Excited to see whatâs next!
