Probably should have tidied up before this image was taken.
This is one of three solid oak pieces that are off to their new home next week. This one luckily had a perfect leg sized gap to make cleaning up the underside of the shelf much easier. Doors, drawers and adjustable shelves to be fitted shortly.
Hope you all had a lovely Easter.
Have spent a memorable week with family in France. Back in the workshop feeling rested. Finished off a project today and have tidied the workshop in preparation for a new project starting tomorrow. Looking forward to sharing the images soon.
As Studio Arvor is female-founded, International Women’s Day is more than a date in the calendar — it’s a reminder of the friends, family and community of women who continue to inspire us every single day.
This week we have had some great waves in North Cornwall and I am so lucky to have some amazing friends to share them with!
Happy International Women’s Day.

Back on the mortiser today, cutting clean joints into these beautiful ash components.
I’ll be back on this machine later this week as I begin work on a pair of external oak doors — looking forward to seeing those take shape.

Our Bossiney upholstered chair seats may look simple, but they are anything but.
Behind the clean finish are carefully selected materials, ergonomic research and thoughtful design. The infill is a combination of coir, hessian, organic wadding and cotton cloth. We obsess over what you can’t see.

A very happy new year to everyone.
Looking back at 2025 it was a busy year, filled with exciting commissions, rewarding teaching at The Snowdon School Of Furniture at Highgrove, some great exhibitions and enjoyable workshops. Very grateful to everyone, every company and organisation that supported us. We can’t wait to share some of our plans for 2026 on here.
A favourite commission to leave the workshop recently was a set of our Bossiney dining chairs in West country ash with this amazing @houseofhackney pink anaconda cut velvet upholstered seat.

This is the last week to view furniture from the past two years of students from The King’s Foundation’s Create: Rethinking wood for furniture programme. It’s been a pleasure to be the design tutor on the programme and to see the inspiring and exciting end results that the cohorts have produced. On until the 14th November.
The Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, 8 Garrison Square, London
5-14 November 2025

This week I have been out of the workshop as I am currently in the Isles of Scilly and will be swimming 15k between the islands at the weekend. Just off the coast of Cornwall, the water is incredibly clear here, very much looking forward to it.
