Hola, soy Ingrid. 👋

🇬🇧Hi, I’m Ingrid. 👋
I believe that everything is possible. Dutch. Living in Andalusia. And most days you’ll find me with my hands in clay.
Four years ago, I left the Netherlands to move into our holiday home in Spain.
Right in the middle of nature, with olive trees in front of me and the Mediterranean just around the corner.
Before that: I ran my own hotel with a spa. A cooking studio in the Netherlands. I studied interior design in Madrid, partly to improve my Spanish, but also because space and food have always been the common thread in my life.
After cancer, I knew one thing for sure: less stress, more life.
I started my ceramic journey with plates. But clay had other plans. It became bigger. Different. Nothing alike. There are already enough things that all look the same.
I make totems, lamps, tables and wall pieces. No moulds. Everything built by hand.
I create on request, or whatever wants to come through.
Feel like saying hi or having a chat? Send me a DM.
Flow.
Have you had it always? Or sometimes missed in your life?
These totems are about movement. About balance.
Pieces stacked carefully, almost instinctively, like life itself. Because flow is beautiful, but it does not always come naturally.
Sometimes we lose rhythm.Sometimes we need to rearrange, soften, rebuild. A little puzzling before everything aligns again.
These sculptural forms are a reminder that flow always returns. And often, it returns stronger, softer, wiser than before.
Each piece is unique. Built by hand. Guided by intuition, tension, and harmony.
Have you once lost the flow in your life and came back stronger?
You can see them till 24th of May at Casa Decor in Madrid in the space of @irisceramicagroup@raulmartinsstudio

One extraordinary piece. That’s the whole philosophy.
Totems, lamps, wall objects and art pieces. Thy only work when they have room to breathe.

I bought once an art piece when I left the hospital after 6 rounds of chemo. Still this work remembers me that I can do it.
Art gives you a feeling. It can be happiness, joy or feeling special.
It can remind you of something like staying strong, courage, a period of your live or something you want to reach.
You can feel connected to it. Or choose it because you think it’s beautiful but you don’t know why yet.
In interior perspective a vertical piece is a statement.
A focus point and let you’re eye wander through the room. But I think the feeling is more important. What do you think?

What you learn from this bathroom?
See all round forms and shapes. From wall and ceiling till shower and bathtub. And that works really well. And it feels very natural. And you can put art in a bathroom as well.
