Established as a playful, child-focused practice, the design of Cary Pediatric Dentistry’s new home balances vibrancy and thoughtful organization. Waiting and clinical spaces are expressed as textured volumes, carved open to reveal vivid interiors. Blending with daylight, brilliant hues animate the clinic—fostering comfort, sparking curiosity, and easing anxiety for patients and caregivers. By pairing efficient clinical operations with warmth and vibrancy, the space embodies the client’s mission: a practice that is clean, welcoming, and imaginative for young patients.

The project brings together architecture, interiors, and experience design to create a calm, engaging environment for young patients. An imaginative, nature-based concept carries throughout—employing vibrant color, custom dimensional bird installations, hand-illustrated graphics, and interactive moments that nurture a sense of ease and engagement.

Minimalist surfaces in warm earth tones enhance the sense of calm, while the spatial design ensures acoustic privacy, insulating guests from distractions and fostering deep tranquility.

Paired with a comprehensive interior repositioning, Studio 310 designed an experiential graphics strategy to deepen the workplace experience. Custom entrance signage, insert-based nameplates, and branded dimensional elements draw from the company’s visual identity to create continuity throughout. In the reception space, an exhibit wall tracing the evolution of mobile devices anchors the environment—underscoring the company’s market focus while offering an engaging, educational moment for staff and visitors.

Studio 310 has been recognized by @aiatriangle with a Merit Award for our design of the 3H Equine Rehabilitation Stable!
The project is an adaptive reuse of our client’s former veterinary clinic, which was severely damaged by a fire. Only the ground-level concrete walls survived. It became essential for both the client and the design team to honor the memory of the original clinic by incorporating these walls into the new facility's design.
The roof and screen intervention span the existing walls using a timber column and glulam beam system. The regular grid of columns is based on the dimensions of a horse stall and creates a central aisle for the safe movement of animals and handlers.
This design intervention is a robust and utilitarian adaptation, rooted in the agrarian and equine building vernacular, balancing functionality with the history of the site.

Celebrating 15 Years of Studio 310!
Our team came together to celebrate 310 Day—the anniversary of our studio’s founding in March 2010. This year marks 15 years, and to commemorate this milestone, we stepped away from our desks to give back, volunteering at @foodbankcenc to support our community.
As we recently announced our rebrand, this anniversary also marks an evolution for us. Our transition from 310 Architecture + Interiors to Studio 310 reflects both our journey and our purpose. “Studio” represents our multidisciplinary expertise and commitment to limitless design, while “310” honors our roots, symbolizing our founding date.

Stanley Augustus White was born in 1929 in the Duffyfield neighborhood of New Bern, NC. Among his many notable accomplishments, he was a founding member of the New Bern Giants semi-pro baseball team, a dedicated mentor to many young people in the community, and the athletic director of the Cedar Street Recreation Center. In honor of his legacy, the new Stanley A. White Recreation Center has been established to serve as a community hub for the residents of Duffyfield.
Studio 310 had the honor of researching Mr. White's life and the history of the Duffyfield neighborhood to design and create a permanent exhibit—a nearly 60-foot history wall—located inside the recreation center.
Inspired by the structure of a book, the installation is divided into conceptual chapters, each offering a manageable amount of content. This allows visitors to explore at their own pace, without feeling overwhelmed. A large, dimensional graphic of Stanley invites visitors to engage and take selfies, while informative panels, photographs, and dynamic collage imagery bring his story to life. The exhibition also features a display case of recreated artifacts, offering a tangible connection to the past. This thoughtfully designed space ensures broad accessibility and serves as a lasting tribute to Stanley’s legacy.
